It would take a huge garage to need 9000 lumens.

I have one of these and they get INCREDIBLY HOT. If it were just the actual bulbs that got hot I wouldn't be as concerned but the wires on it get hot too.

Do you have this exact brand? Some of the cheaper versions are made differently while the LZHome one is supposed to be the superior material one.

Two car garage here. I just put mine in. I gotta say, it's a dramatic improvement over the 100w compact fluorescent I've had in there for the last 10 years.

Thanks got one. I like how you can direct the light if needed.

As you can see from the photos, the outer ends of the panels can be moved upward if you need to direct the light toward a particular direction. You should also be able to rotate the entire unit if you need to. However they do get hot, so don't how this will affect the heat sink panels if they are vertical (certainly don't allow anything flammable to get too close to the heat sinks).

Probably just easier to get a motion sensor wall switch, especially if you have several lights to activate.

This is what I picked up the other day. I have an old house, so don't have a neutral wire.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

If you have a newer house with a neutral wire, you can pick up a motion detector switch for about $10.

These paddle LED lights are tremendous. I have a couple of the 60W units, which I have used to replace some 60W equiv LED light bulbs. One is in the attic and other one is in the basement. Generally a 60W LED light bulb produces around 800 lumens. The 60W paddle LED produces around 6,000 lumens, or 7.5 times the light output of the single bulb with the same electrical usage. The difference is dramatic, but they are also so bright (and hot) that you have to be careful where you place them.

I thought about it but poor design for anything but flat ceiling light. Paddles wouldn't work on my porch light.
