What would I be missing out on if I did this rather than the CX
I have had both, go with the CX through BB or Costco because the price is within $100 and you get more. That being said if it were $300+ difference I would personally go with the BX because the difference to the average Joe is minimal.

Thx this is precisely the situation I'm in. I got the BX 55 new from BH no tax the other week for 1096, now the CX 55 has dropped down to 1396. So exactly 300 dollar difference. Worth it ? I mostly do PS5 gaming, and my room is fairly bright, CX better choice then ?

Do you like your television $1000? These are going to be minor differences - you're still running the same refresh rate and resolution, with very similar technology. Enjoy your TV! $1000 is a good deal for a big OLED

I would stick with the BX, I really doubt you are going to notice a difference. If you are happy with what you have, I don't think it's worth the hassle of exchanging or spending nearly 30% more, that's a great deal you got.
Hoping for a price match somewhere without the giftcard (1199). I might finally bite at that price. The more I learn about the X900H/X90J the less excited I am and the Q90 is just too expensive for non-OLED. So I think I'm now set on getting a good OLED deal.
I personally recommend BuyDig's 65in LG CX. It's $1,996 minus $50 with the code DIGAPRIL50, a $150 Visa card, and a 2 year warranty with burn-in coverage. Full total with tax for me was $2089.99.

Less peak brightness for hdr but then again you might not notice if you don't have them side by side also older procsssor but that probably doesn't matter

CX is brighter than the BX, the CX isn't even that bright honestly and what I would consider a bare minimum.......
Owned a Sony A8H Oled, now an Lg CX and of course a Hisense H9G (horrible don't buy) and a Samsung Qled (8 and 9 series and a older Q6FN 2018 version)
Oled only place it in a theater room, bedroom or controlled lighting environment. Excellent contrast and motion, 3D like picture but 2 problems. TVs no where near as bright as the Samsung Qleds and the main problem is ABL.
ABL happens in a lot of video games and I can't play video games on any Oled because of it. When you place the screen at its brightest, the ABL is going to activate once the tv gets hot...... Only way around this is to lower screen brightness, but then we're back to problem #1.....
Admittedly love watching movies and 4K streaming on Oleds best.
Samsung Qled extremely bright and good at everything, especially gaming. Yes , some light leak and blooming, but I can deal with that vs a dim Oled screen that's adjusting the brightness even further.
Ever tried using your cellphone outside in the sun????? Put max brightness all the way up and still can't see anything?????? Ever had your phone then bring the brightness down after you just put it all the way up???????
Please do you mr research if you decide to buy an Oled Tv, they have a 100k hour lifespan and have several built in features to protect the screen even more but at a cost.
Personally I would recommend a Samsung Qled and only an Oled if you have the extra money. As stated I have both

Well not the UI itself, but there's so much lag with the operating system.
The remote is super nice.
