re: wifi... these things don't have to talk to the internet, just each other. You could totally use an old router or a cheap one just for lights and such and don't connect to the internet. I mean, unless you want to turn your lights on and off remotely or something like that. I don't personally have that desire but maybe some do.

Yes, that's a bummer. But them being Google Home and/or Alexa somewhat mitigates the issue. But all these apps on the phone are clutter nevertheless.

I have 4 of these and 3 of them work great.

The 4th frequently disconnects from my home network. I've tried different locations, different routers, no difference.

I use Google Home for my integration. When it acted up, it'd simply ignore any commands (which is beyond frustrating).

I ultimately moved it to my patio and set it up in Kasa so it turns on at sunset and turn off at sunrise. In this setup, it's worked fine for several months, but I also don't pay a whole lot of attention to it (so it's possible it's still acting up, I'm just oblivious to it)

Also worth mentioning: I've had mixed results pairing these bulbs to my wireless network using Pixel devices.

Got this at $17 back in Nov 2020 and it has been running great. No issues with connectivity or the app. The app is what makes the experience solid. The UI is easy and it just works. Works good with Google and Alexa as well.

I got it last year Nov, and then keep blicking every 30 mins, contact support and after trying soft reset, hard reset, and finally let me replace my item. They asked me to ship back my bulb at my own cost, and once they receive the bulb they will ship you a replacement. I end up just not sending the bulb back and changed back to a normal bulb.

Anyone know when the KL125p4 pack is coming ? It's 34.99 for a 4 pack. It was supposed to come out in March.

Its as simple as that, how hard is it to do a Google search? No need for complete sentences, less keystrokes, no waiting, and best thing is you're no longer co-dependant on someone else. The reality is in today's day and age, where answers are just a couple clicks away, we have Google, the best most powerful search engine in the world. Think how incredible it'd be to show someone the capabilities of it, who's not experienced it yet? Its a damn shame really, you don't need to have all the answers to be the smartest, but just knowing where to find them can build much confidence.

Doesn't really matter right now as they are not in stock because they're still shipping pre-orders but just as an fyi, Wyze has an equivalent bulb that comes in a 4-pack for $35 + shipping.

I just got my first set and have no complaints.
