I ended up picking up one of these with Free Shipping as a "spare" for my travel tool bag or car, but it's a similar design to the 250mm Knipex version, [kctoolco.com] which I also own - and is considerably more expensive in this size. Also, if you're interested, someone in a tool forum mentioned this appears to be made by Fujiya (of Japan) [fujiya-kk.com]. I had to search Fujiya's website, but after looking at their very similar-designed "Grip Monkey Wrench" pliers, I agree, they do appear to be made by Fujiya. Also, the COO is NOT provided on NAPA's website, so that tells me it's unlikely Made in USA or Japan... and Fujiya's website mentions manufacturing facilities in Vietnam. I'm guessing these are made in Vietnam, but I'm not sure. ***EDIT -- I received my order the other day and can confirm these are actually made in Taiwan and the size on tool is listed as 250mm (which is 10" - same as Knipex) and not the 263.5mm stated by NAPA.

Wow, NAPA is on the ball... I posted this right after ordering, and my pliers are here already. I can confirm that they are NOT made in Vietnam, but Taiwan as somebody else stated. Also, they're actually 250mm - printed/stamped right onto tool. So, they're 10" and the same size as Knipex 10" version. Very nice tool for the money...

Yeah, kind of surprising for home delivery. However, when I had a commercial NAPA account and my shop was a mile down the road from them, I would often get stuff within the hour because they always had delivery drivers going past that could drop stuff off. If they had to order it from a regional distribution center, I'd always get it the next morning.

I know I paid more for NAPA parts, but their quality and service was well worth it.

Change the zip code / store location to somewhere else... this is a monthly NAPA special and the $22.99 price should be good all month long. As an ex, try zip code 28711 at this NAPA address: 415 W State St, Black Mountain, NC 28711. The price for the pliers should show as $22.99, and then just select the free ship to home option.

Silly question but is it safe to assume these will work on both metric and sae nuts? The spec is in mm but the markings on the wrench are in inches.
Quote from jammer :
They are infinitely adjustable within the max range
and they also have mm markings (0-42mm) on the opposite side (not shown)

Based on the speed of shipping that other commenters are experiencing, it sounds like these things are shipping straight from stores. Your local store (which your web browser is likely using, based on previous visits to the site) may not be participating in the current promotion.

Ordered Thurs and shows delivery to my home with FS by EOD Sat. Thanks, OP, and Rep'd.

I've used these B4 and, for intended purpose, consider them quite a capable addition to the toolbox.

UPDATE: Must agree that NAPA is on the ball w delivery time. Mine just arrived at 9pm tonight (Fri) via UPS, a day ahead of schedule! These Carlyle's are a very cool tool. Very interesting mechanical design keeps the two smooth jaws parallel at all times. Sweet!

Shows "Made in Taiwan".

Gave me free shipping, when I logged in it took away the free shipping and now it's not letting me checkout at all.

Oops! We seem to be experiencing some technical difficulties at the moment. Please try again.

If you sign in and have rewards in the total it adds shipping, and for me will NOT let me checkout.

This deal is still going FWIW. Also I had a chance to try these side by side with knipex. I used them to bend some sheet metal (I know, it's not what they're designed for). The Carlyle locking joint slipped under heavy load but the knipex never did. Its still a good price and will be useful but know that it's not knipex quality.

I'm curious if any other brands sell smaller pliers wrench? My favorite size of knipex is the 7-1/4. I see Irwin and Carlyle sell 10" versions. Does no one sell smaller ones other than knipex?

I have 6" to 12 " knipex pliers wrenches and an Irvwin grove lock smooth jaw 10" which this Carlyle appears to be the same design and price. This is NOT the same in function. The Knipex pliers wrench have a 10x grip advantage due to the pivot design and are far superior in grip and fastener use. If you want to flatten metal or lighter torques they will be ok. Yes they are over 2x the price but I think it's worth it and I like deals.

Thanks for the deal OP but shipping is now $12.99 and NAPA won't let me ship to store. Is anyone else seeing this?

EDIT: noted others indicating if you were a NAPA Rewards account you got no free shipping and the shipping was actually slower. Made a new account using a new email and did not request to the a NAPA Rewards member and TAA-DAAA.

Free shipping + faster shipping. Wow, here's to not becoming a NAPA Rewards member...

I really like this wrench.

Anyone know if they make 6" wrench?
