that's a VERY loaded question... most of all because many use those terms interchangeably.

for me, ceramic = higher quality clay (white), and stoneware lower quality/thicker brown clay.

higher quality clay generally is stronger, so it'll allow you to make thinner/lighter dinnerware with same strength... but in ths case, I simply don't know enough about the product to say

since they are glazed, you only going to know if you break them...

I bought these on impulse and now regret it. I prefer the 20oz Corelle salad/pasta bowl (I own two of these). It is only 1 1/2" high v.s. the Kook's 2" plus the Corelle's sides are slanted (which I like). The Corelle is lighter and easier to hold with one hand, nest perfectly, probably more durable, and hold the perfect portion of salad or pasta. They hold a lot. Not to mention, I can get 6 Corelle for $22.42 https://www.amazon.com/Corelle-Wi...GT126J662X

I can see why people like these Kook bowls, mainly if you eat huge salads or giant portions of pasta but they're not for me. They're heavy and don't seem to be of high quality as two of them had small imperfections in the glaze.

I think these at target are better. (36oz) at $4 each.
