It's an office monitor, not a gaming monitor.
Not every monitor needs to run Crysis.

OTOH, if there are other 27" monitors with great refresh rates and response times at that price range, I would be interested.
The real deal is the S2721D for $197.99.

I have a 32 inch with 1080 p and it's fine

A lot of people think spending more makes it better, just ask Audiophiles
The sentiment we were conveying was that 1080p looks like crap on large monitors. It has nothing to do with spending money.

Unless you like seeing subpixels, save yourself some money and get a 24" or smaller 1080p monitor.

I use dual 27" 1080 monitors for general office type work everyday and it is great.

It is really a personal preference. My viewing distance of monitors is usually about 2ft. 1080p on 24-in and smaller is excellent. 27-in with 1080p is not as good but totally acceptable -- I don't see pixels but sharpness is indeed affected. 32-in with 1080p is horrible at 2ft viewing distance.

Coming from my setup of high frame rate 1440p monitors to my wifes monitor which is this one is painful.

I picked up two of the S2721D that was mentioned here to upgrade her.

My eyesight isn't great but I can still make out individual pixels around 92ppi at 2.5 ft and they start to become hard to distinguish at 96ppi.

1080p at 32" is in the 68ppi range which is a nope in my book.

Also found this refurbished from B&H. Tempted to get this as a secondary but the white wouldn't match my current monitors.

LG 32QK500-C31 QHD MONITOR for $160 and rated like new.

Yeah, that was a good deal

FWIW, i unboxed this last night and hooked it up to a laptop via hdmi and played around with it. looks great to me. i use 22" 1080p monitors daily. No dead pixels or anything. Bought this for my 65 yo mom to use at work for emails mostly. she uses a 32" 720p tv rn, so this will be a great upgrade for her.
