Nah. It won't. You make no sense. Phones are the same glass. It's just smudges. Plus I use two different codes of varying types. It wouldn't help one bit with all the possible combinations lmao

But only $220? Why not $2200? Just get a $40 one and call it a day. Or if you're fancy Yale are like $130 on sale. Module included

Key or no key. If someone wants to get into your house, they'll find a way into your house. The key is more of a secondary backup for when/if the lock malfunctions and you need to physically unlock it.

Anyways, I have the non-WiFi version and it has been working great. Love not having to carry a key on me when I go for a run.
Exactly. I often wonder if nobody who's saying no need for keys ever even own a car or vehicle or some type. You're gonna have a set of keys no matter what gadgets you buy

And someone is gonna just smash their way into your house if they want in. It's good to have them on surveillance camera when they do. Ain't nobody gonna sit and waste time trying to hack your router when a rock will do LMAO

OK.......for the people complaining about the physical key feature.
Take a toothpick dip it in super glue, insert it in keyhole.

Got one for a short term rental property and it has been great! We can change codes for each guest. It's been 100 percent reliable and the 10000 mah battery is a beast of a battery, one less thing to worry about, says it will last up to a year on one charge. I paid retail from best buy and would pay that again.

So, is it right in saying that the product here and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HYTGFLR are the exact same in functionality? Just this one has in built wifi, rather than the external bridge?
Yes, it's the one I have. I can't comment what the other person is saying about the motor since I don't have both, but I can't say I have feel that the motor is weak or a problem. Also, another thing, I just paid attention to the keypad since so many comments discussing it... unless you have super dirty ass fingers, otherwise it really doesn't leave noticeable prints on the touchpad. Some people just need to moan over nothing.

The eufy website mentions a $49.99 gift backup battery and I can't find anything else about it. Is this just an issue with lazy website management?

I'd certainly like a spare battery, but none are available. Would certainly make the deal much sweeter.

I'd definitely purchase directly from them if they threw one in.

Perfect timing for this 'sale' since I need one now.

I've recently bought this easy installation, quality and functions are amazing. Not even one negative. Fingerprint unlock function is killer. Previously had yale z wave lock its ok compared to this one.

Ironic how this is touted as a safety device when, if anything, it leaves your home and your network more vulnerable than ever.

I got the non wifi version. The lock got stuck and can't open from inside occasionally. I would have to use the app or unlock it from outside... Has anyone got this issue?

Thieves can unlock via WiFi as well...
Sure they can, but the vast vast majority of thieves aren't smart enough to know how.

Heck, I bet 99.99% of people who browse SD wouldn't know how to do that.

I don't have a single key anymore. Smart locks or keyless deadbolts to every outside door at home, and our cars don't require any keys or remote fobs to operate.

I understand anyone can just smash a window. But, my use case for not having keys was not security, but convenience.
I wish my state used digital drivers license. It's the only reason I still carry a wallet.

My god, I came just to read a little about this product and it's absolutely impossible to find a real comment in this sea of fake comments. This website is becoming exactly like Amazon reviews are now.

The votes are pretty obvious though. Every single comments voting feedback is based on whether it promotes a purchase of this or not.

There is nothing more pointless than reading comments about door locks and how much safer/less safe one is over any other.

NEWSFLASH!

It's not that important.

Odds are you, like most everyone you know, has never had anyone ever try to pick your lock. So the one in a million chance that one particular lock type might make any difference whatsoever in the one in a million chance that a thief wants to get into your home and decides to only try to do it by picking your deadbolt but not forcing their way in by any other method is not worth the time and effort it takes worrying about it.

If by some chance you live in an area where it actually matters then you are most certainly already using many other measures to secure your house besides just a simple deadbolt, so your multiple chains, bars, guard dog and security cameras are already protecting you.

As for the rest of us, it's just meant to keep people from being able to open your door without being obvious. There's no deadbolt of this type at any price that takes more than 30 seconds to bypass with a power drill, so don't waste your time worrying about mission impossible heist scenarios and just buy whatever lock has the features that appeal to you.

/End of thread.

I have had smart locks on my home for about 3 years (Schlage). They are really holding up well but I like the idea of a fingerprint reader. Maybe upgrade. Does anyone have experience with these in high heat, direct sun exposure? Any weird behavior?

I have one exterior door that's fully exposed to the Arizona sun half the day.

Bought the non-wifi one when it was the prime deal of the day, not long ago (total with tax was around $130).

Took a chance on it since most people who said the wifi feature was nice but rarely used with so many other features.

And they were right. They only time I would of used it was 2-3 times when the gf forgot if she had locked the front or not. Little annoying when we're both already in bed. But not really worth the extra $80 at the time for me. Put that money towards a Ring peephole cam, which made a killer combo.

Only problem I have with it is when running out the house, sometimes I go open my car and realized I forgot my keys. 😂
