I purchased last time also. My packages clearly state on the back under active ingredients that it is Ethyl Alcohol 75%.
Been using them on my hands with zero issues, once dried there is zero scent.
Wouldn't it dry your hand like crazy though? I used this to clean up dinner table but I put on gloves every time.

I did a small order with a few packs before I knew about the the bigger bundle. Both arrived today and are the Holocleans 75% Ethyl kinds. The last time I did store pickup and got the general "75% Alcohol" Caresour packages so maybe that is the difference. Shipping gets you Holo and pickup gets you Care?

Are you serious? I didn't know potatoes had a smell. Unless your talking about rotten or spoiled potatoes. No, that is not the smell.
LOL yes. Smell a cut potato next time you cut one. Many of the ethanol hand sanitizers I've bought have smelled of potato - it's a pretty recognizable odor - probably because they were distilled from whole potatos, or maybe skins from places that process potatos for things like french fries, or instant mashed. Most of the time when you ferment alcohol from a source other than refined sugar, the alcohol will clearly smell of whatever the sugar source was. Remember when a lot of distilleries and other fermenting companies applied for special permission to make hand sanitizers for Covid? That's why so many now are made from ethanol and not isopropanol - easier to make. They either took too broad of a distillation fraction, to maximize yield, or didn't know some other trick to eliminate co-distilling odors.

A lot of the terrible smelling alcohol sanitizers have that bad smell because most of the batches were rushed during processing so they could be manufactured quicker during the pandemic. They skipped the part of adding the good smelly stuff.
Yeah, a lot of people who had never made hand sanitizer or wipes - because those things never used to contain ethanol - but who had ethanol distillation equipment, applied for special permission to sell ethanol-containing sanitizer and wipes, without paying the normal drinking alcohol taxes. They probably didn't take the time to adequately refine their distillates, or they started using cheaper biowaste sources as a sugar source.

These are decent. We have them at work and it doesn't leave a lingering scent but the alcohol smell takes getting used to. I would use 2-3 per week to wipe down my desk. Then a wet towel to make sure there is no haze. My office gets really hot on the weekends when the AC is not on. When I got down to the last 10 wipes, they were a bit dried out. It was my fault because the pack was in the sun at times.

Still really good to wipe things down. Covid or not, some people are just plain dirty and nasty. For example, pick nose, touch door handles. Go to bathroom, don't wash hands. I don't remember the last time I caught a cold because some slob spread it around the office. No one in the office got the flu this year.

That's why you need these.

I've been using these for a few weeks now. They are stretchy, which makes them hard to use - they often catch and stretch rather than 'wiping'. The fabric is also very lightweight and loose weave, meaning they dry quickly during use. I don't think I would buy them again.

It used to be hard to find alcohol wipes, so you had to take regular wipes and add some isopropanol into the package. I think that still produces a better wipe.
