I bought this grinder and returned it. Just doesn't grind fine enough for my needs which are mainly espresso.
You should mention the $59.00 is prime exclusive it is $10 more for non-prime members.

I bought an earlier version of this machine for work and bought this for home. This version is 20% quiet than the one at work. The previous version sounds like a helicopter. It grinds just fine and the burs are stainless not Ceramic. The cup design is much better on this version than the pervious. The hole just doesn't sit flush on the gasket. the gasket actually goes inside the cup. This eliminates Coffee grounds outside the cup. This is just my 2 cents.
I bought a couple months back, grinds too fine all the time, end up with a slurry in my coffee if I use the mesh permafilter.
If I use a paper filter, the powder clogs things up and grounds run out over the top.

I've cleaned it and cleaned it, goes fine after a couple times.

no comparison. if you are getting this for espresso, which I'm assuming based on asking about Sette 270, you will not have a good time with this. it's good for pour over, french press, drip, etc. but won't be anywhere near fine enough for a solid pull of espresso.

Bought this awhile back from Woot at this price and have been using it for the last 3 weeks, medium grind, with a drip coffee maker. I really like it and think it's a great deal at this price.

I'm starting to feel this same way. Most of what I buy has gone back, although I did buy this grinder from woot last time it was there and I really like the grinder for my pour over and cold brews.

Not loud enough to drown out the acoustic nirvana and cranberries covers from the hipster in the corner.

Who wears flannel after March anyway?

I have both of these! As stated by others the Sette is definitely better suited for espresso and is MUCH more expensive. I bought this grinder under a different brand name on Amazon about a year ago. For everything coarser than espresso it's been good enough. It's not loud at all, which makes it easier to make a French press while everyone in my house is still asleep.
