These are nice PWM fans, some noise around 1100 rpms based on reviews.

I bought these just before they were posted last time. Unbelievable how much quieter they are than the default on the evga closed loop. Zero temp difference but it went to being nearly silent even under stress. Quite pleased.

I'm not sure if they're the same or not. They look the same but there may be some subtle differences.

they are same. Silence is relative for fans.
I have replaced the stock ones from EVGA 280 CLC with the P14 version of these and highly recommend them for the absolute silence compared to EVGA fans. Again 140mm are noticeably less noisy then 120mm when moving same amount of air, so my experience could be due to that.

Bought the 5pk P14 back in Jan 2020 for same price as this OP.

These are not silent when over about ~900 rpm. Under that, they are darn hard to hear. They really don't move that much air under 900 rpm though. I'd say they're ideal around 1000-1250 rpm in terms of noise to airflow ratio - but sometimes they have motor whine around those RPMs. Over 1250 rpm I find them too noisy to run on a consistent basis.

If you need decent airflow and want silent - you need to go noctua. If you don't need a ton of airflow and want silent, or don't mind a bit of noise and want good airflow, these are great.

I tested these side by side with my A12x25s. These are almost as quiet even at 100%. Noctuas are super nice but not worth the premium over these unless you don't care about cost.

The noise profile isn't terribly different in theory, but if you want to avoid the whine on the arctic, you'll need to jump from ~800 to 1250 RPM - which you need not do for noctua. And moreover, I found my noctuas to move more air at mid-RPMs like 1k. Ultimately, I run my noctua at around 1k RPM versus these at more like 1250k, and the air output is similar but the noctua is noticeably quieter.

Worth the premium? Depends on your cost tolerance. In theory, I'd say the performance and build quality differences justify about double the cost for the noctua. These things are built very cheaply - the lack of threading, lack of rubber, cheap screws, thin plastic. Its cheap - which is fine considering the price point. In any event, considering the Noctua cost about 4-5x as much, then yes in an absolute sense I agree the Noctua aren't worth the premium.

But on the other hand, if I consider the relatively low cost of the noctuas when annualized over a 7-8 year lifetime, and my personal level of annoyance of even marginally louder fans, then IMO its worth it if you have the $. I'd much rather spend my $ on noctuas than faster ram.

These are THE choice for the dollar, to be more succinct. If money is no object or you're making an investment in your rig and you don't want to touch your fans for years to come, you go with the Noctuas.

Agreed. These are not THE choice. They are the BUDGET / VALUE choice. Noctua are the premium choice. Sometimes people on SD forget the distinction (or they just don't want to pay up and don't understand why anyone else would).

I agree, sometimes SD is a race to the bottom as far as price goes then people wonder why their $5 piece of junk failed when they could have spent $15 and had no issues (I'm not talking about fans per se, just a general example). I saw someone post a comment here the other day, something like "sometimes the miser pays twice" - good words to live by.

Agreed. I have the EVGA 240mm and I replaced those fans with these Arctic fans, along with replacing my Fractal case fans. System is much quieter now.

I just replaced all the fans in my gaming rig with Noctuas, very happy, system is much quieter now. I bought these Arctic fans (once they come in, a month from now) for another system that's non-gaming that has some cheap fans in it that I have to keep re-oiling because they get noisy, tired of it and hoping these live up to their billing.

I don't think anyone could argue that noctua aren't far better build quality than these. Have you held both of these in your hands? Installed them? Listened to them? It's like comparing a mustang to a Porsche and saying they both go 0-60 in about the same time.

Again, I have these and like them for the price, but if money wasn't an object - noctua 10/10 times. Not even close if these were the same price.
