Been happy with these so far. Wiring from the old ones was easy. Did 2 in 15 minutes. One thing I wish was easier is to silence the alarm when my wife is cooking. Having to open the Nest app, choose the right protect, and then hold to silence - is cumbersome. It should just be a swipe down notification that you can take action on right there.

Good deal! Thanks OP. Should add that it's for battery or hardwired. Also for Costco members only.

I have only one hardwired location - can I buy the two pack of hardwired and use the other on a battery only power source (I don't even know if it has one)?

Don't believe so. The wired version only has battery backup, pretty sure it needs to be wired to work.

2 wired units I had are no longer available. thanks to everyone that reached out!

Thanks! Been waiting on another deal on these. Best feature is the motion activated light at night Smilie I think they added in sensors to work with the Nest thermostat for temperature control too.

I'm blessed with being 6'4", so I can reach the button to silence it. At least it gives you a warning. The older manual ones just went off. laugh out loud

Bought these the last time they were on sale but only ended up replacing the one that I had in the kitchen. Works great and sometimes doesn't go off when the old one used to. The heads up messages are kinda funny to listen to as well. I was hoping it wouldn't false alarm through cooking but I guess it's not THAT smart. At least I can silence it with no problem.
