2. Sparmax 2K clear is a 2-Part Polyurethane catalyzed clearcoat. It's a completely different and much higher quality, harder, more durable, and more UV resistant clearcoat than the Acrylic Enamel of the Rustoleum. $25 is regular price for it too. $17 to $22 a can would be considered a good deal.
Also, catalyzed paints have hardeners with isocyanates in them. They are very dangerous over prolonged use and can be absorbed even through the skin. Anyone who uses them should be spraying with full cover clothing and powered air purifying respirators or positive pressure systems with a known clean source of air. I personally use a 3M versaflo but there are many options on the market.

Also, if you live near an Ollie's, they usually have this once a year for $1.99 per can. I usually stock up on multiple colors/finishes.

It's a 2k clear coat. That means it has a hardener in it. It's the same stuff that is on your car. The spray can is a can in a can. You take the cap off and punch it into the bottom of the can. This releases the hardener into the clearcoat. You only have 45 minutes to use it once activated. It is way better stuff than the rust oleum clearcoat. You can find it for less than $25. Usually around $20 a can.

Had read up on it recently. Gotta respray areas of car where clear coat has chipped, and doing the headlights as well. The 2k is the way to go for that.
I have a can sitting in my house to do some headlights with. You're suppose to use an adhesion promoter with plastic. I'm still looking into what to use. I was thinking about just wiping down the head lights really well with 91% alcohol to soften up the plastic but its still out of stock for now.

You don't need to use any adhesion promoter. Just sand the surface of the headlight with some 2000 grit, clean it, then spray it. Make sure to use a respirator, because this is TERRIBLE for your lungs.
