But they do tell you in the program's terms & conditions [disneymovieinsiders.com]:

F. Collecting Points

15. Any Points remaining in an Enrollee's Account which has remained inactive for a period of 365 consecutive days or more will be forfeited without compensation. Failure to earn Points as described in this Section F above or redeem Points for Rewards as described in Section G below constitutes inactivity for purposes of this condition.

Basically, any points activity in your account -- such as adding bonus codes like the one posted in the OP -- is sufficient to reset the countdown timer. Bonus codes are posted frequently enough that if you apply them to your account you won't need to worry about your points balance expiring.
They still come with a code on a slip, that code just doesn't redeem for a digital movie and you redeem it directly at the disney movie insiders website for points.

Type DRAGON if you haven't for a free 25 points.
Use code AWARDS. That should give you enough to get these

What a joke this Disney reward points program is. They have these prizes worth massive amounts of points making you think you can spend years collecting points to redeem them.... but they don't like to tell you that your points expire after a set amount of time. So I had all my points removed. I had spent so much time collecting them and they wiped it to 0.

I still hate Disney for that. Like who is going to buy enough Disney products to have enough points to redeem that trip to Disney Land? You'd have to spend like 20k in a year on Disney movies.

The guys are right above but I feel your pain. Really surprised if you called them they would not re-instate the points

Before I got smart(?) about redeeming codes once/year, I had a bunch expire and called to politely ask for re-instatement. They wouldn't budge. So don't risk it, set yourself a reminder to grab a free code floating around and apply it every 6 months or so.

I'm up past 14k, working to that studios tour (hope it comes back post covid!). That would really suck, been saving for like 10 years now lol.

They literally send out free bonus points EVERY month.

If you can be bothered to click a link once out of 12 e-mails per year you really aren't paying attention.

- Stupid question - how will these "come with 150 points" if these blue rays have no digital code?

Well that's the thing. Who has the time to remember something as silly as this? Like I don't want to have to schedule my life around Disney's point system just so the points I've accumulated don't expire. I've got enough things to remember in my life that are going on. Now imagine your bank did the same thing: "You better add money to your bank account after X amount of days.... or we will zero out your bank account". There would be hell if that was a thing. That's what Disney is doing. It's ok, they took my points away and now I don't buy their movies.

I contacted them and they wouldn't re-instate anything. They just told me that points expire and they can't be put back after expiring. It was several years ago. I think I had about 14k points that expired. It was a lot that's all I know. Took years to accumulate that much.
I get your point, but the bank example is not really the same. Disney can't earn interest on all the points you've racked up.

Reasonably, they will have to expire/retire dormant accounts. Else they'll end up with tens of thousands of accounts where people haven't signed in within a decade. But 12 months seems a little short for me, especially since they give you zero warning when it happens. Ask me how I know!!

But you have time plenty to bitch on a deals forum to random internet people.
