Decent price for Rise of (it's been under $5 recently), but a little high on 2013's GOTY (it's been under $4 a few times this year, even in the low $3s).

Both are MacOS compatible and run nicely on the new M1 Macs too!

Although a lot of the DLC with 2013's GOTY isn't Mac compatible and sometimes it's cheaper to buy the game on it's own and a DLC pack and one individual DLC and get all the Mac content for even less than the cheaper deal.

It's only $5.33, but it's Slickdeals, so I have to speak up!

Gary i was wondering when you find games that are Mac compatible on steam if i buy a key for say Metro 2033 Redux on Ebay and it says PC only but steam shows it as Mac compatible will i have access to said game ? I just got a M1 macbook to tinker with and a life long PC gamer but didnt want to start buying keys that would only work for PC and just regret it.

I believe companies like Feral interactive handle a lot of the ports for Mac so i wasnt sure if you get the Mac license on Steam. I have a bunch of Epic games that i know have Mac ports but you dont get access to them on Epic.

If it's a Steam code and Steam has it for both PC & Mac as the same item, then you get the Mac version too (I've yet to see them separate). That's been my experience for everything I've purchased. (FYI, Epic doesn't have the Mac version of everything that Steam does).

Mac games related:
  1. If you got your Mini in the last 93 days, be sure to activate your free 3 months of Apple Arcade, there's a lot in there to check out (and it's free); mine didn't show up and they fixed it in chat. Some good stuff, but not everything is for everyone.
  2. One of the free Thursday games at Epic Games is free this week, so check that out tomorrow (seems like about 25-30% of the freebies are for Mac).
  3. I've never purchased codes on eBay. I always check pricing for cheap games at https://gg.deals/game/metro-2033-redux/ Look! Only $3.60 for your game Smilie Usually, the Keyshops are cheaper, but not always. (I think you can set alerts but I've never bothered) I've had no problems purchasing from Kinguin, Eneba, G2A (some have processing fees so the cheapest isn't always the cheapest).
  4. Several of the sites that sell bundles (like Humble, Indie Gala, Fanatical) often don't list if they are Mac compatible so you need to check. Sometimes even if they do, they're listed as not compatible with Catalina or later, so be sure to double-check. BUT even if it's listed Steam is often wrong on that, so google around to make sure.
  5. FYI, your game is listed as not working on Catalina and higher, BUT this list [google.com] says it works

No problem. For AA, do chat as they'll want a copy of your receipt, so have that ready to upload.
