Would never buy this brand after the shenanigans they did a few months back to get peoples email with a fake free promotion.
I found your info source @ organicconsumers.org/sites/default/files/collagen_white_paper.pdf

The white paper only lists arsenic levels as risk from the vital proteins unflavored at value of .05 mcg/ serving of 12g product.

To put this into perspective, kellogg's rice krispies cereal have a arsenic value of 2.3 -to- 2.7 mcg/ serving.

Source: consumerreports.org/cro/magazine/2012/11/arsenic-in-your-food/index.htm#:~:text=Rice%20drinks%20in%20our%20tests,to%204.5%20micrograms%20per%20serving.

So I'm NOT concerned with vital proteins level of risk.

..but thank you, because you sent me down a rabbit hole and the consumer reports article (which is a valuable read) now has me concerned with my rice and inadvertant arsenic consumption. ..bummer.

Tldr; Rice has about 5 times more risk. Adults are fine with daily serving of vital proteins collagen but now that we know rice has high arsenic levels, watch your rice intake every week
Honestly I prefer Orgain Grass Fed Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides Protein Powder. I just noticed they have a $4.98 discount coupon on your first S&S order which brings it down to $18.82 or better for a 16oz. can. I trust the brand.

Be cautious of collagen products — lots are contaminated.

"Organic Consumers Association (OCA) and Clean Label Project (CLP) tested 28 of the top-selling brands of collagen supplements on Amazon.com. Here's what we found:

• 64% tested positive for measurable levels of arsenic
• 37% tested positive for measurable levels of lead
• 34% tested positive for trace levels of mercury
• 17% tested positive for measurable levels of cadmium"

"measurable levels"

If they had a good enough measuring device, they could make all those percentages 100%

You can check consumers labs too if you have a membership. Pretty much confirmed the same - some of them are garbage.
