Disagree. With the PS5 I would personally only get the disk console. Games are too expensive on the PlayStation Store and there's no Game Pass equivalent. You'll end up spending a small fortune on digital games over the next few years.

It is however a more powerful console (exactly the same as the disk version in terms of hardware) at a slightly higher price.
I do love my Xbox One and I'm keeping my 1080p Pioneer KURO till it dies so the Series S may be a good choice for me since I'm a casual gamer... but I'm thinking it'd be better for me to wait to get a PlayStation 5 since at the moment it has more exclusives, and I'm a fan of the design/controller.

Xbox Series S is an excellent value though and a smart play by Microsoft. Pair it with Game Pass and you'll have plenty of games to play without spending hundreds on digital games.

Also why is this being downvoted? It was FP at Walmart earlier, and this is direct from Microsoft. It appears to be in-stock.
That's a big IF. IF Sony puts good games on a theoretical "Game Pass" clone service and IF such a thing even comes down the pipeline. Game Pass keeps having big titles Day 1 and all first-party games on it, almost all of which are both PC and Xbox. I stacked my sub until 2023, and I'm mostly a PC player. The PS5 is a very immature console that has a long way to go IMO, external storage isn't even a thing yet, only having 667GB of available storage when games are 100GB+ nowadays, the system is comically ginormous, come on.

But anyway, came here to comment how it's funny the Series S stays in stock for hours, while the Series X always sells out in seconds. Goes to show you where the demand is.

The PS5 Digital Edition is the better value, for paying an extra 33% more money, you get 157% more teraflops than the Xbox Series S.

I mean it depends, if you just want raw value, series S + gamepass is no brainer. Also i dont think sony can match gamepass, bc they don't have that many studios, also they wanna go after blockbusters which takes 4-5 years to make

PlayStation is said to be working on making a subscription service similar to Game Pass. Also Xbox Series S owners will be at a huge disadvantage when playing online against Xbox Series X players. Since the Xbox Series X has three (3) times the number of teraflops that the Xbox Series S has. With the PS5 digital edition you will not have any disadvantage, when gaming against other PS5 players.
At this point it's basically a shared ecosystem with previous-generation consoles so Xbox One/PS4 players are also at a slight disadvantage.

The PS5 is also only RDNA 1.5 whereas the XBSES and XBSEX are true RDNA2 so there is that.

Sony's subscription service could be compelling for no reason other than that they have better exclusives IMO. That is, if they're willing to put games like Spider-Man and The Last of Us on it even when the developers launch new titles.

Game Pass is great but a lot of the third-party games I want to play could be purchased for $10-$20.

Did you get Series S/X yet? I have Xbox One S, I mostly game on 1080p monitor not even 4k monitor lol, but I feel like Series S has only 500 GB built in space, it goes to like 350GB of useable space (after OS and stuff) I heard, I feel like rather than paying $200 for external storage of 1 TB I rather wait it out and just get Tower of Power, Series X lol

I have the Series X. I agree the 1TB external storage for it is overpriced and I'm waiting for a 2TB to drop for around the same price or less. Games certainly aren't getting any smaller, unless you count Hitman 3, I suppose.
