It may not be the historical best deal. Just somehow I was looking for the ego hedge trimmer for some trimming work, almost pull the trigger for the same one without battery at $99 (at amazon or ace, Lowe's somehow sell it at higher price for whatever reason) then saw Ace got this one with slightly discount. I did use chase freedom's 5% of hardware store + some random $5 ace rearward that free to my mail box.

I like how the Ace store "offers" to assemble it for you for $15. There is zero assembly required for the hedge trimmer. SMH

Got it from HD last year at a lower price. It came with the old style battery. I wonder that has been changed this year.

in for 1. Was going to buy from Ace tool only for $99 but ill buy this and sell the battery and charger for anywhere from $125-$150 and pay less!

any rewards from Ace do not work on Ego products online or instore. It worked for you?

I just picked up my order. It is still the old style battery like the ego products I bought in 2018. It also applies to the 16" chain saw's 5Ah battery from Lowe's too.....

Used this a few times and worked well. Once it got stuck while trimming some holly bushes. The teeth locked up, and I cleared out any debris, but it never worked again. I press the trigger and you can hear the motor engage but the reciprocation never happens. #sad. Every other ego tool I've used for six years now without issue. Doesn't seem fixable, but if anyone has experience, please let me know what to try!

I feel like they like to dupe us, high end product, low end battery. I got old batteries with the high end carbon fiber trimmer with powerload, and the high end brushless trimmer.

The only item that gave me a brand new high end battery, was the $650 EGO LM1235 mower. Still only a 7.5 Ah. The 65 comes with the 10 Ah battery.. !

I should have bought one of those mobile power station things they had on clearance when Home Deport dropped EGO.... I would be swimming in spare batteries.. laugh out loud

Good deal, if you're one of the ones that likes to take a gamble on manufacturer refurbs acmetools has these for $140. If you buy 2 or more refurb Egos you get 10% off all items.
