Product Features:
  • More Efficient: Sequential read speeds up to 560MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 500MB/s.
  • More Reliable: A solid state design is a more durable and reliable alternative to a traditional hard drive. No moving parts, less risk. The MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of JS-500 SSD is 2 Million Hours. Enjoy the long and trustworthy quality of LEVEN JS-500 SSD.
  • More Choices: LEVEN provides all kinds of capacities to meet your needs: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB. Take your pick.
  • Warranty: 3 years warranty provided by the manufacturer from the date of purchase.
  • Note: The actual available capacity of our solid state disk is a little smaller than we listed due to the different calculations between computers and manufacturers. Computer: 1 MB = 1,024 KB. 1 GB = 1,024 MB / Manufacturer: 1 MB = 1,000 KB. 1 GB = 1,000 KB.

We're getting closer to decent prices on large capacity ssd's for media server usage. Hopefully soon we will see 4tb drives at around 250, then it'll be feasible to have a decent sized media server that doesn't need spinners and won't cost a fortune.
This ssd isn't on LTT's ssd tier list
I have never heard of this brand, but after a bit of research it's very low-mid budget brand.

The JS600 is on Amazon for $10 more. What's the difference? Leven doesn't mention a 2TB version on their website. Tempted, but not familiar with Leven.

Getting warmer. Still waiting to replace my 1TB nvme ssd I bought in in 2019 for $69. Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron stop colluding to milk the consumer at 1-2TB kkthx. We are ready to be cheated at 4-8TB.

Hard to tell the Difference but my rookie eyes see 500/560 write/read speed with older JS500 vs. 530/560 write/read speeds with newer JS600....
I think I'd save the $10 and pick up the older unit from NewEgg, especially since I might not appreciate the difference in write speed(?). I wonder if anyone can provide a use-case where that difference might be obvious??

This really wouldn't be an nvme replacement anyway.

Doesn't look to have DRAM.

NE received stock on these two weeks ago. No reviews. Literally is brand new to market.

Very good price, tho..

I find that hard to believe. How about posting a link to a credible review.
