About this game:
  • Recruit countless Monsties!
    • Monsties, and the bonds you form with them, are the backbone of your adventure. Explore vast environments and dungeons to find monster dens, and bring back the eggs you find to hatch new Monsties!
  • Fight with your Monsties in Network Battles!
    • Take your hero and the Monsties you've raised into battles with other Riders! Build a team of your favorites to challenge other players.
  • New features for the smartphone version!
    • New improvements include beautiful high-resolution graphics, improved user interface, and a new auto-save feature!
  • Story
    • The story begins in a forest near the village of Riders. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—stumble upon a shining egg.
  • The trio perform a playful imitation of the Rite of Kinship, only to be shocked when it actually succeeds!
  • The egg hatches, revealing a baby Rathalos, a flying wyvern also known as "the King of the Skies." The trio affectionately name him "Ratha," and take him back to the village.
  • A year passes...
  • The hero receives a Kinship Stone from the Village Chief and officially becomes a Rider. Cheval and Lilia both leave the village, each on their own path. The hero, though separated now from childhood friends, partners up with the cheerful Navirou, and embarks upon a new adventure into the world of hunters.

I wonder if Capcom just forgot Ghost Trick and Ace Attorney Investigations are on the App Store. I haven't seem them go on sale ever...

Very good price for this amazing game. It's missing some free DLCs available on the Japanese version but for $5 it's really a steal. My kid love it and played through from scratch for about 5 times. To me even at $20 it is very well worth it.
FYI Capcom just opened Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin pre-order yesterday on Switch and PC Steam. I think this sale is a promotion for the upcoming sequel.

It's being updated with iOS 14 support. A few other games were pulled as well. Capcom has said they will be back.

If they had a sale for the 3DS version, I'd be more into that. Usually try and stay away from games on my phone.

I was in that exact same mindset once. This game was what introduced me into buying full games on android. It looks and plays much better than the 3DS version.

Monster Hunter has always interested me, but when I tried to play one (back on WiiU) the confusing systems and weird combat really turned me off. Didn't get far.

Is this like a super simplified version that an idiot can play and enjoy? Smilie

It's a turn based RPG closer to Pokemon than it is to regular games in the Monster Hunter series.
