Nice find.
But the link to the i7 config is to the non 2-in-1 form factor.
I can find no i7 version of the XPS 2-in-1 to which either code applies.

Really wish they'd let you add RAM on these deals; 8gb soldered is rough.

It's a little bit low on the RAM (only 8 GB) & 12 or 16 GB would be nice. Having said that, here are somethings to consider with your "pathetic specs" comment.

This is an entry level XPS system meant to compete with the lower end Lenovo Yoga 2-in-1 laptops. There are higher end XPS systems with more robust specs.

Also did you even notice this? Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Thank you for posting this deal. I thought my Asus Flip 13 is a bit overpriced but it is not.
now a 2-in-1 laptop is about 900-999 for 11th i5, 1100-1200 for 11th i7.
All on-sale topics are fake.

Indeed, as soon as I saw that spec I didn't have to look further. I would consider something selling with low RAM IF it's upgradable, but certainly not spending $1,000 on a laptop that's intentionally crippled from the start.

Yeah. I get why they they soldered, as lpddr4x is great stuff, but the fact that you have to switch to the $1350 configuration, which is ineligible for the coupon, just to add an extra 8gb is insane. All the manufacturers are doing this right now.

In addition to not being able to upgrade the RAM, you can't even swap out the SSD nor the WiFi card anymore

I seriously question spending almost 1000 bucks on something with just 8GB ram and 256 GB SSD nowadays. Yes, its design and all are amazing and I've been a big fan of XPS for a decade, but there are way better deals out there.
