If you select the below options, the CART Price will be $1403.99 and you can apply the Coupon 10GAMER2021 (10% over $1399), you'll get final price of $1263.59

Ryzen 5 5600G + 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 + 512GB PCIe SSD + 1TB HDD + 400W PSU
  • Under Processor, select "AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (3.9 GHz up to 4.4 GHz , 16 MB L3 cache, 6 cores)"
  • Under Memory, select 16 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB) [+$120]
  • Under Secondary storage, select 1 TB HDD storage [+$49]
  • Under Storage, select "512 SSD storage"
  • Under Graphics Card, select "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB GDDR6 dedicated)"
  • Under Chassis and Power supply, select "Shadow black front bezel, Acid Green Chrome logo with 400W Power supply"
In that way, you are spending just $90.35 extra to get twice the memory in 8GBx2 configuration and one 1TB HDD which is similar if you buy those components yourself. The Ram option is much attractive in my opinion as that will allow you to have the desired 8GBx2 configuration, rather than buying a 16GB kit and save the headache reselling the 4GBx2 modules

MOTHERBOARD INFORMATION
HP uses a customized uATX motherboard called Erica6 in this build. This is based on AMD B550A chipset which is a cut down version of AMD B550 Chipset without the PCIe 4.0 Support.
Motherboard Spec: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c07094657

  • (1) HDMI 1.4b/HDCP 2.2 port
  • (1) VGA port
  • (3) Audio ports (Line-in/Line-out/Microphone)
  • (4) USB 2.0 Type-A ports
  • (1) Power input port
Front I/O ports

  • (4) USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports (5 Gbps data transfer)

For those just interested in the video card:

If you go with the fewest options with the 3060, the total comes to $1040.

The 3060 alone is selling for around $900 on eBay.
FYI: the 5600G is a new cpu with integrated graphics and should not be confused with 5600X. Not saying that is bad, but do homework as there are other differences too that may impact your performance expectations.
Yea, same statement every year....

I totally hear you. I've been there too. I was lucky enough to have built a 5 2600, 580x etc for about 750 two years ago. Games getting sluggish fps was bugging me before with Phenom II 865? and a HD 6850 before that but it was fun while it lasted.

You should be able to get a 5 2600 for 192.50 on Amazon now. Or even get a similar Intel here on SD for similar price if ur not stuck on AMD. I would shop for a 580x used somewhere online... That's my best bet.

But Cyberbunk? I didn't think it was anything that great. I've been waiting to find a decently priced 5700xt but they're all overpriced right now.
Appreciate the advice. I'll look into it when the time comes. I do think I can make it another year if I have to, as nothing is entering unplayable range yet. Hopefully by Spring 2022 things are less awful. We'll see I guess.

Also I'd agree about Cyberpunk. It was... Fine. I just mentioned it as a sign - when a couple different AAA games start to have some framerate issues, I take it as time to start preparing for the upgrade.

There's actually not a lot of profitable coin you can mine with GPU. You can def mine it but you will be making chump change after electricity cost.

3060 is a 170w card and 5600g is a 65w chip, so as long as there aren't many other power hungry components, it should be in the efficiency sweet spot for a 400w psu.

i agree that one should not scrimp on the psu especially when building their own, but with pre-builts, we're at the mercy of the company building it and one would hope that HP knows what they're doing when putting together a pc. otherwise they risk facing many unhappy customers and backlash.
Yea I'm not sure why this always comes up. This is only really a problem these days if you're cramming a GPU into a business/family PC to try and make it into an entry level gaming PC since those tend to have like 250W PSU's. The manufacturers can see wattage ratings and put in a power supply that meets minimum requirements. Not everyone needs a 1000W psu "just in case."

Has been answered multiple times in this thread, including the link to the full specification of the motherboard. Read the below Post

Exactly when $540 is a significant amount of money you might as well think about getting a real career 😆. I can't imagine the heat in the room running 3 cards day and night.

Exactly they had me confused. What IT professional in the Bay Area or urban area would be wasting time with this. Quicker investing rsu or other gains.... Unless they meant IT professional like working at the mall doing IT.
