Doesn't this toothpaste use stannous fluoride instead of traditional sodium fluoride? Supposedly in recent years, toothpaste makers have stabilized it so it no longer stains as it used to. And that it's slightly superior to sodium flouride.

Yep. Stannous Fluoride 0.454% (0.14% W/V Fluoride Ion)

I've tried ordering toothpaste. Specifically Crest, from Amazon twice now. Both times the toothpaste has tasted old. The mint flavor had been mostly lost. Might just be bad luck, but have decided to stick to B&M for toothpaste moving forward.

Good point. Stannous is superior but used to stain if you didn't rinse well. Now it seems to be designed and formulated to avoid MOST of this problem:

From Wikipedia:
Stannous fluoride converts the calcium mineral apatite into fluorapatite, which makes tooth enamel more resistant to bacteria-generated acid attacks.[3] The majority of toothpastes contain calcium minerals[citation needed]; over time these react with sodium fluoride to form calcium fluoride, which is almost completely insoluble and thus ineffective for tooth protection. Stannous fluoride is a more stable ingredient and thus remains effective in strengthening tooth enamel longer

Family member uses Crest's Pro-Health version. It's not minty at all. Might be better off checking out Colgate's competing version which also uses stannous flouride.

yup. I'm curious as to whether this works just as good as the stannous fluoride gels minus the staining. If so, "slightly superior" is probably a major understatement (at least for people that care about cavities and gum disease, my hunch is Zeth is very aware).

"Just remember, stannous stains," my dentist always tells me. She's 37 and keeps up with the latest (less you think my dentist is an old fogie giving obsolete advice).

Amazon deal looks dead. The Walgreens deal also has a $5 off for 3 tubes Mfr. clip coupon. Total comes out to $3.97 + tax + .30 bag fee = $4.97 for me. Refund the bag fee at the store and it should be around $4.67 total.

Do most of you have success in getting the Walgreens bag fee refunded?

When I do store pickup, there's a giant label stuck on the bag and no one is able to recycle the bag because the bag becomes damaged if the label is ripped off since it's so sticky.

Because of this, I feel insecure getting a refund, especially since it's 10 cents, but it's really adding up.
