Covid numbers spiking in the last month with similar timing to India. Looks like it may be going down now but probably rules this out for me.

What are you talking about, this is literally 1 day AFTER yours. The rules are more specific than what you've posted. This is the embassy news. You have news that are newer? Please post it...
If you click on Tourism Authority of Thailand in YOUR link you will see:
"According to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), all arrivals who hold Certificates of Entry (COE) issued on or later than 1 May, 2021, will be required to undergo quarantine for 14 days regardless of their nationality."

COVID is a huge issue in Thailand at the moment. I have a friend there who told me the post offices were closed for a while because of it. Be aware.

If their marketing were worth anything, they could have a kickass media campaign!

So thanks for using my link to clarify? Confused

The Quarantine update info as stated ON April 30th, a day AFTER 29th.

"
Are U.S. citizens required to quarantine? Yes – Upon arrival.
Effective May 1, 2021:

The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced the extension of the quarantine period for all arrivals beginning May 1, 2021. Until further notice, all arrivals who hold Certificates of Entry (COE) issued on or later than May 1, 2021 will be required to undergo quarantine for 14 days regardless of their nationality or vaccination status. Travelers who obtained their COE prior to May 1, 2021 and arrive before May 6, 2021 will be quarantined for 7 or 10 days depending on their vaccination status.

While undergoing quarantine, travelers will not be allowed to engage in leisure activities. Travelers will only be allowed out of their rooms for mandated COVID-19 testing.

For non-Thai nationals, a Fit to Fly certificate will be no longer required. However, a medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected, using the RT-PCR method, issued no more than 72 hours before departure, is still required. For more information please see the Royal Thai Embassy, Washington D.C. Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) page.

Thai public health regulations require that travelers who test positive for COVID-19 while in quarantine be transferred to a hospital for follow-up treatment and testing. Such individuals are required to remain in hospital until authorized for release by the public health authorities, often for at least ten days. Travelers are responsible for all expenses related to this hospitalization.

They had a surge, so they're back to 14 days.

"A nightly surcharge of THB 1860 (approx. $60) applies from Dec. 20, 2021 - Mar. 31, 2022"

BS resort fees. Wasn't expecting this from Thailand.

Peak season surcharge for those dates only...that's what I think!
