It's funny you say that. I too have been thinking that way. The old mentality of "Oh, it's just a buck! It's just $XX" Doesn't land for me anymore. All it does is clutter up my game list. With limited time to game, when I DO game, I want to play my very favorite/the very best. Even if it's a "good price for what it is" - if it's not over a certain bar - I just know at this point - it will never get played. I'd rather pay more for something when I'm actually ready to play it than buying it, and it sits in perpetual inventory status.

So the big question - are any games on this list someone's personal favorite? And if so, why? The deal DOES look good but I need to know if these games are in anyone's top-5 or top-10. And yes I know 'different strokes for different folks' but just trying to get an idea.
This is exactly what I should be doing. If I don't want to play it right now, don't buy.

Bought State of Mind recently for $6 and still haven't played more than an hour into it. Good game, just have had others in my free time, recommended.

Thanks. Bought bc I like sci find and robots. Having that said no time for games. I really got to start losing the "I'll get to it eventually" mentality. Honestly I see myself playing these games 30-40 years from now when I'm retired.. if they don't lengthen retirement into the 80s bc they decided we live too long.

What is the gameplay of state of mind? I watched a gameplay video that had 10 minutes of cut screens and 5 minutes of walking, selecting something and reading a sentence. Didn't see anything else.

According to NintendoWorldReport, that's about as much gameplay as there is. It seems to be first and foremost a movie with walking sections, dialogue options that have no repercussions on the course of the story, and very simplistic puzzles thrown in just to be able to call it a "game". Think of it as a David Cage game (Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, Detroit: Become Human) but none of your choices matter and there's no quicktime events to keep you engaged between cutscenes.

Thanks! Looks like an easy pass. I might try Hard West though. Xcom in the old west. Decent reviews, though consistent complaints about the AI and clunky camera.

I got Valthirian Arc on PS4, it's a pretty good game. It's not very deep, but if you like city building games and JRPGs, it's enjoyable enough. Especially for that price.

"Old Man's Journey" is also only $1.99, well worth it.
