I would go with the 1440p, I have had to use a 32in at 1080p and it's not very pleasing to the eyes text blurry with pixel lines.
LG Site says VA and that seems right, https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg...monitor

I have 2 of these and they're pretty great for the price. Use as a triple-head with XB323U in the middle and all connected to RTX 2080. IMHO the XB323U is noticeably better for gaming but its spendy.

I have the LG 32GK850F-B from that Costco Cyber Monday 2019 deal. Monitor has great viewing angles, games well, has a great stand, and great menu interface.

That being said, using HDMI causes some black flickering at times that lasts a second or two. I strictly use DisplayPort to game. I also got that monitor, with more features than the posted one, for $250.

After contemplating buying this deal for a matching monitor, I ended up buying the newer 32GP83B-B IPS 165hz model open box excellent from Best Buy for $442.

I know that old Cyber Monday deal isn't available now, and the monitor I just bought is 50% more expensive, but I just wanted to throw it out there as an alternative for those looking at this
