Yes but they just introduced wireless connections to a PC and I've heard (on podcasts) that it works very well.

I am using it. It works well. But you'll want your PC wired, and strong wireless close to your headset. I have WiFi 6 in the same room as I game. Ocassionally stutters but that's it. Can even play Beat Saber fine.

1) The Wireless VR / Storage space is only useable for games you buy through Oculus. Steam VR and other third party platforms cannot be uploaded. So, if you have mostly Steam VR games, then the storage will not matter.
2) Steam VR can work wirelessly with this but it might require as much as 10 minutes just to get it started up. The integration isn't great. Once it gets started, it does work well. Performance is good.
**Connecting the Steam VR to Oculus first requires you to connect the Quest 2 to your computer. This can be done via cable or wirelessly. Then your Steam VR will recognize the Oculus if everything works as expected.
As for the cable, I have a ~$30 USB 3.1 cable from amazon and it works well. I only used this cable to get it setup in the beginning, I almost exclusively use wireless.
