Cons:
- Android version updates & security updates end on October 2021
=> Warranty: 6 month Google Manufacturer Limited Warranty, which means if you buy it now, your warranty will end in November.
- Released in the States on October 18, 2018; a bit old hardware but still works fine IMO.

Pros:
+ Brand new phone (just like the previous deal from Woot)
+ However, it is UNLOCKED bootloader this time, which means you can run Custom ROM such as LineageOS, AOSPExtended, Havoc, etc.

Or you can just flip it for the T-Mobile: Trade In; up to $380 off for Google: Pixel 2 series, 3 series, 3a series.

No it doesn't, that's sim locked and unlocked. Bootloader unlocked allows you to download 3rd party ROMs

From Woot website: "Google Pixel 3XL (Unlocked) (NEW) - Not Pink...The bootloader is UNLOCKED!!!!!!!!!! on these phones."

How do you live with yourself time consuming by spreading misinformation & confusion. 3 strikes you're out!

They also have refurbished pixel 2's for $60 which would make flipping even better.

Does anyone know if this will work in Japan?
I just bought a laptop for my sister and one niece, but the other niece got a new laptop last year. I know kids will say it's OK, but they'll feel left out. I was thinking to get the other niece a new cellphone. I'd like it to work there though.

If a bootloader is locked, it means you can only use it with the specific carrier listed (like T-Mobile for example) and not another one. Unlocked means you can use a sim from any carrier.
Not quite. What you're describing is sim-locked. Most smart phone's bootloader's are locked, which means that they will only accept firmware images ("ROMs") that contain a security signature. So, when the manufactures stops providing firmware updates (usually after 3-4 years), security holes can't be plugged. If however, the bootloader can be unlocked, the phone will accept any firmware, which opens the door to custom roms, with potential security fixes and a longer shelf life.

Def not worth that price, just got rid of my pixel 3 and holy shit i just realized how bad it was.
I had to replace my 3xl due to charger port issue, bought a new 4a 5G and honestly cannot tell the difference. I think I prefer my 3xl except for the battery after 2 years.

Google Pixel 3XL (Fully Unlocked) (Scratch and Dent) is available for $130. Never bought scratch and dent items from Woot before. How easy to return if not good? is worth the risk over $90?

Does fully unlocked mean bootloader unlocked ? I am not so sure and I recall some comments that seem to imply not unlockable. If it said bootloader unlockable that would be clear.

Got the Pixel 3 from the previous Woot deal. Arrived brand new, everything sealed.

Very curious why there seems to be so much excess inventory of Pixel 3/3XL still while Pixel 4 seems to be almost never available.
The Pixel 3s are going to be worth even less after updates run out which is this year. There is a rush to get them sold.

Also, there are people trading them in on newer phones. People with Pixel 4s have less motivation to trade up.

Yes, it arrived as described. I don't think I was lucky, seems like almost everyone has reported receiving a brand new factory sealed device from these deals.

I bought the same deal, same experience. There's a lot of thread crapping about the Pixel 3, but I think it's one of the best phones ever made (which is why I side-graded from a 3 to a 3)... IF you can deal with it's shortcomings. Those shortcomings have been talked about relentlessly, the first being the battery life (which I can deal with in this age of small portable fast charging devices), though it's not much worse than any other phone of its size. The second is the memory management, which is abhorrent. I deal with it because it's otherwise such an amazing phone. I get sick of app crashes while switching though.

I've tried all the pixels through the 4 and 4a (the 4 is an awful phone), most of the samsungs, and unfortunately many of the moto's (decent budget phones, but thats it). I hate the samsungs, but there are the fans. They're crash happy, cheap feeling, bloated pieces of, you know. Not that they're much worse than a pixel, but talking them up is kind of ridiculous.

If I wanted a good user experience, I'd probably switch to Apple. But... I .... just... can't.

Oh, I will say, the pixel 3 does suffer from some quality issues (my power button got sticky, causing reboots, but there are other issues others have experienced), but for the price of these new now, It seemed a good deal for a working (for now) replacement.

What's issue with samsungs? Install "lawnchair launcher" to avoid the default Samsung launcher and it's awesome experience. What was last Samsung you tried? My note 10 is still super fast

Haven't used Samsung in a while. My last one was a Samsung Edge 6. In short, I hated all the other crap Samsung installs on it that I can't remove. I would also from time to time get popups from Samsung about using their shitty apps. Oh, the Edge on it was annoying as F due to accidentally hitting the sides when grabbing the phone and probably why they don't make em anymore.

That said, I have no idea what it is to use a Samsung device today. At this point, the only option for me seems to be Pixel as it is as clean as it gets. Maybe Nokia, but I'm not sure how long they will stick around.

Ha I knew it. Newer samsungs are WAYYYY better now. I switched from pixels to a note10+ and it's super nice and fast. No issues at all. Except for using "lawnchair launcher " ,which is a pixel launcher clone. But that's easy change. The rest of the phone is super nice.

I wouldn't recommend anything other than flagship samsungs at this point. Again...install the launcher , change a few default apps, and your golden. Newer samsungs are faster and smoother than any pixel . And no I don't get pop up ads or anything,
