Lol what. Stick to your oly lifts. You want a raised heel for squats because nearly every individual won't have the ankle flexion to get the proper depth. It's really rare for me to see someone get proper squat depth and angles wearing chuck taylors.

Thanks a lot! I am looking for a stiffer sole, especially around the toes. These don't appear to work.

Are the Metcoms stiff? Or in your opinion?
Yeah Metcon soles are stiff and minimally padded. The shoe construction is also stiffer than running shoes.

What about barefoot?
I personally want something to pad my feet though some prefer barefoot for the lowest height possible and develop for muscles for better balance.

Why no squatting in these?
Have you ever tried cleaning poop off of shoes?

IMO these types of shoes aren't very good at anything. If you want to run, get some nice running shoes. There are also nice shoes for squat and deadlift. I know thats not the best for the budget, but its worth it if you are serious. These all purpose workout shoes arent very good.

Squat - Adidas powerlift 4
Deadlift - Sabo deadlift shoes
Running shoes - plenty of good ones. Look up reviews for the type you like. r/RunningShoeGeeks has good recommendations as well.

I agree. Recommendation of shoe choice of course is preferential. For anyone with wide feet I would recommend:

Squat: Pendlay Do-Win or Nike Romaleos
Deadlift: hands down - the Barefoot Ursus.

If you like the Sabo's the Ursus are worth a look.

Good for casual everyday use?

This is what I use Nikes for.

I have pairs of zoom pegasus and react flyknits and wouldn't use them for more than walking.

My 13 year old loves them and he goes through a new size of shoes every few months, so I'm thrilled with a deal like this! We bought two pairs in different sizes!

You should use running-specific shoes for any distance work. These are not those. Recommend Nike's ever-popular Pegasus — also Reebok's Floatride Energy 3 which you can get for $60 when they have their frequent 40-60% off sales

When you're paying for a logo... Why do they hide the logo?

Huh? The logo is huge. Covers most of the shoe lol

Are you looking at the 2 color options listed in the original post? It should be $53.98 + tax when you go to check out.
