Where do you find a quality laptop at that price that isn't a chromebook?
Eegorr was merely mocking the price one-upmanship that is a common feature of slick deal postings. Mainly because he's jealous I got it for $101.98 after tax, although I returned it because Costco had a deal on a pallet of tin apricots for $98 and I couldn't fit both on my bicycle.
This is the same model from Black Friday last year that was 399 I believe. I got it, it's a great little work horse especially the CPU. I upgraded it to 32gb ram. Only thing that prevents this for being my daily laptop is my version did not come with backlit keyboard. Some did some didnt.
Ammika - I too bought this laptop from Walmart on Black Friday. Can you please help me with something? I accidentally deleted the "Ethernet driver/adapter" that came installed with the laptop. Can you please send me a screenshot of the following ?
Control Panel------Network and Internet------Network Connections (there will probably be 2 listed Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz and the other ??? I need a screenshot of this OR
Device Manager ------ Network Adapters and when you click on Network adapters it will pull down all the adapters. Can you send a screenshot of all the listed Network Adapters?
I am hoping I will be able to download the deleted adapter that came with the HP laptop.
Excellent deal for those who want powerful laptop with excellent display right now. I would personally wait for 5500u version though for roughly same price during back to school or Black Friday. But overall, this checks all the boxes for "non gaming" laptops. 1080p is a +, I do not get people who prefer 2k or 4k with 15" display.
nope, not soldered ram. In most cases, soldered ram in the specs will state something like, LPDDR4x. Non-soldered ram in the specs will state something like, DDR4 or DIMM. Although some sites like Lenovo's store will use LPDDR4x or say DDR4 (soldered) instead of using exclusively LPDDR4x (or some variant of it). But the whole point is if you don't see the "LP" before the reference of what kind of memory it is, odds are it is replaceable
Soldiered ram is very common across many types so I wouldn't say that "odds are it is replaceable" if it's not lpddr4x.

This is too powerful for Amazon prime movies. If you need ones solely for streaming movies, get a $200 chromebook.
