Yankee candle is way overpriced imo. Target and BBW candles smell better and cheaper

Wave Perhaps some YC expert can help me out here. I don't usually buy candles but thinking of picking some up for gifts.

Question: I see Yankee Candles sells these Large Jar Candles but also Large 2-Wick Tumbler Candles and even a Medium Perfect Pillar(I understand this one is smaller) plus others.

Is one type better than the other in some way? Why might one buy the large jar versus the large tumbler?
Would a 1 wick "jar" burn better than a 2 wick "tumbler"? Is one more fragile than the other?

(Probably wouldn't even ask this but I ordered 4 medium jars from the recent Target sale and all the jars arrived broken. Now I have 4 candles that aren't in any kind of container at all.)

It appears that you HAVE to pay for shipping. Apparently cannot be picked up in one of their stores.

Hmm, now I just have to figure out how many candles will work out for a gallon of gas.

I personally prefer the Jar Candles over the 2/3 Wick Tumblers. With only 1 Wick it burns much slower and gives you a longer duration to enjoy the scent.

IMO, the scent with a single wick is less, than a 2 or 3 wick candle that is burning faster and releasing more scent in to the air.

The people who buy candles regularly:

Do you guys burn the candles daily or for few hours a day? Or they are more of an impulse purchase and get stocked in the cabinet? If you burn them for longer time, do you feel any difference in air quality indoors because of so much burning daily? I'm asking because I love fragrances and I find the idea of candles great except that my eyes water up and get irritated fairly quickly if anything is burning nearby. I also get worried about air quality indoors especially with young kids in the house.
