I used the May Dell Newsletter promotion. (10% off your order once you sign up for the newsletter) and configured an Alienware Aurora R10 with a RTX 3060Ti for $1,331.81
after the 10% promotion.

Here is the link to the Newsletter 10% Promo. They email you a limited use coupon code shortly after signing up

Probably should opt for the 5600X and not the 5800X. Since the 5800X thermal throttles; even with the liquid cooling option.

"While a 90-degree CPU does not concern us much with this kind of load, it does come at the expense of some throttling. The CPU scales back from 4.50GHz to just 4.05GHz across all cores during the 10 minute window."

Computers deals with just GPU listed, what an amazing time to be alive.
Be careful alot of the r10 configurations do not qualify for the 10% off coupon.

I got a R10 with a 3080 and was not able to apply the 10% sign up coupon. Although if you ask their chat support they can "improve" the price offer on certain configurations to get close.

Also my estimate shipping date was June 7 and I received it 2 weeks after I ordered it in mid April. So I expect the shipping date is overly conservative.

Also the gpu is was a Nvidia reference model. And the ram isn't able to be matched because it's specially made for this configuration and has very poor timings. 3200-20cas

If your mem junc temps are 90s, you gonna be okay. Fans probably fail first. If you are near 100s, its not good long term. But Nvidia has built in ways to throttle the card so it should be okay. Tbh most people modding want to optimize performance and lower fans. A simple change lasting years seems like a fair trade off. Especially for mining having the card 24/7 you don't want throttling because that means less $$ earned.

Yeah 92C is my memory junction temp. I'll swap out to a better case as it doesn't have great air intake and only allows two exhaust fans. That way, I will hopefully be able to lower the GPU fans.

Thanks for the reply and repped

Have a feeling that when these ship in June, they will come with the new LHR mining gimped cards. Dell needs to be super clear on what we will be getting. Otherwise, I suspect a very high return rate.

Yeah true. According to Nvidia, the new ones identify on the box or somewhere it is low hash rate. Dell did not state it at the time of purchase. So likely if they fail its ok to return.

How would we know if we got the LHR versions? I haven't done any mining, but am interested in trying it out.

The mining hash rates will be half of what a non gimped card will do. Google what's the expect hash rate for your card.

also GPUz should identify the card PCI id that ends in 2, which are the gimped cards

Delivered today but I'm out of town so not sure if it's the LHR version or not.

Update: It's getting full hash rate on hiveos
