This deal is back if you missed the Amazon and Home Depot one.

Shipping was $6 for me, but some posters in other Dewalt deals mentioned that they got a $10 off pop up, which I couldn't muster. Still a great deal.

How can the battery be useless if it does what it is supposed to? these are just a smaller capacity. But in return they are smaller and lighter. A lot of people that resource SD get these tools for light DYI work which the batteries are perfect for. You can run this tool a surprising long time on a 1.3 or a 1.5 yet everyone craps on them when they show up on a deal.

IMO this is the best cordless tool that DeWalt makes. The battery it comes with is basically useless but this is still a good deal.

I'm going to stick with the battery being nearly useless. Its ok that its nearly useless because its not completely useless, as you pointed out.

Someone did test. Both are pretty much the same. Atomic is variable speed so I prefer that. Price is the same too

Agree, there are tools where I prefer a 5v, this isn't one of them. Plus if you are invested in this eco system these batteries are great for led lights, drills etc.
