13 Assassins is a great samurai movie - lots of over the top violence that some will enjoy and will be too much for others.

Ong bak is cheesy as hell but has some of the best Thai kickboxing ever put on film.

Amazon Prime's player/UI for digital movie content is HORRIBLE. The absolute worst. Constant glitches, doesn't save stopped spot, will play the wrong title even when the right one is clicked on, etc. I will NEVER purchase digital movies on amazon when other better options (like VUDU and Movies Anywhere) exist.

You should try the 26 zatoichi movies plus the rebooted one from the 2000s, lone wolf and cub, Santoro, etc.

my other favorite samurai or karate movies: Shogun's ninja, Roaring fire, Legend of eight samurais, Twilight Samurai, and Immortal blade. They are all fun to watch again and again.

No love for Ong Bak? Incredible stunts without special effects or stunt doubles I believe.

Weird. I've had none of those issues.
