Actually that's unlikely. The electronics they are using is straight from a reference design. Speaker drivers have been coming out of china for decades, and the rest is just light industrial design of foams and plastics.

But it sounds like your comment was more about hatred and jealously than a serious comment.

China has simply outplayed the USA with respect to electronics manufacturing for decades. If anything we gave away the technology for this kind of stuff decades ago, and they iterated and improved upon it while in the USA we chased newer more lucrative technologies.

Still kicking myself for not buying another set or two of Anker Soundcore Life Q10 for 23.xx back in October.

Our son loves his AND they're USB-C charging.

Seeing a lot of decent reviews on YouTube for the price. Was looking for a cheap pair of noise canceling headsets so for under $20 it's worth a shot. Repped.

Some reviews say they're a bit small, but I actually needed a new pair of headphones for my second grader after she broke the plastic band on her previous Mp w kid-size headphones after only a few months. These seem like they're worth a try. She'll use them as wired headphones for school, and the ANC and USB-C charging are nice to have for traveling.

The coupon also works on the other colors (it brings them down to $18.40).

How can they possibly pay for R&D and manufacturing at scale and only charge $17?? Im not knocking the brand whatsoever, its just amazing to me they sell it at this price without taking a loss

Well first off they likely aren't paying for R&D. All the guts are likely off the shelf and cross shared between companies.

But yes it's amazing how clearly stuff can be made.

Additionally we can't be sure whether this price point is profitable or not.

Probably stolen tech from companies outside of china.

I've used a couple of these cheap headsets with "ANC". Each of them had pretty good audio and loudness but none of them had actual ANC. There is surely a dedicated button but all it does is increases the sound loudness, that's all. That being said, for under $20 I was surprised with the sound quality and a 40hrs battery life (not this unit). I primarily use QC35 with laptop and Airpods Pro with my phone, so I do have some idea about ANC.

I have the anker and some experience with audiophile headphones. Although this has some decent reviews on youtube, I lean towards the anker. If you can't wait, get these to at least try them out.
