(YMMV) Emtech 256 external SSD, $11.47 at Walmart

YMMV on this. Went to a local walmart to see about the Crucial 500gb external SSD, but they were out. Looked around and found these for $11.47. Reviews are actually pretty decent, and it looks like it contains an actual mSATA inside if you wanted to crack it and use it as an internal drive.

Brickseek didn't show them in stock at all at the store I was in, but here's the BS link anyway: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...=224316039

Were you looking for the SanDisk SSD or is there a crucial that's also on Clearance? I haven't seen a posting for crucial.

Worth it at $29? Or wait until it drops?

*EDIT: Nevermind looks like you can find it for around $20-$25 online by resellers.

How do you communicate with walmart employees if they have something that's 'locked' or 'in the back'. Do i tell them straight up, "hey do you have x product available in the back?" Thanks

This is a double edged sword, try finding it yourself first, DO NOT TELL THEM IT'S DISCOUNTED. Most Walmart employees will snag all these things for themselves and then say "nope" when you ask. If it's not located, check brickseek (in my experience OOS sometimes means 2 left or so). If you need to ask just tell them where is xyz product? Try creating a report first then go ask, works most times for me.

Given the gas prices, maybe not a bad idea to order it through Amazon 👍

What does creating a report mean? Is that something we can do online or in store?

I got two of them the other day when I was looking for the Samsung ones, there were like 6 there but I only grabbed two because I wasn't a greedy pig like some of you all on here. They were in the cage and there's nothing outside of the cage to let you know they even exist. The case is very cheap but it works so far, I had to format it to work with my MacBook though. It has a USB-C connection but the connection to the computer is USB A which is also kind of annoying.

They were in the browsing area, but inside a locked glass case.
