These have always been great, but bear in mind the new tags they stitch into the seams are massive at nearly 2"x2" and are cumbersome to deal with when detailing paint/cars. They also cannot easily be torn or removed without damaging the seam. Poor design for that piece.

That said, they're still great and my go to for detailing at home.

How is the color on these in the wash? I bought a bag I can't remember where...and the colors all ran onto one another after wash...and I used All Free & Clear detergent so I know it wasn't harsh.

They are yellow and will bleed with other color stuff, particularly with higher temperatures. Not sure how you do laundry and not telling you how, but brights and whites is a good way to ruin a load. That said, I wash these by themselves or with other items I don't care if they get colored

Oh I wash them by themselves on cold of course....I asked because I also use color coded MF towels for detailing cars/trucks. Different colors for different products. I had a batch get re-colored due to dye bleed.

i'm going to pick these up and compare them to the ones from the old packaging. people seem to be convinced these are now lighter weight, but I have my doubts.

Seems like a really good deal. Shame there is no costco near me. Much cheaper than the rag company's offerings.

None really. Left them on and fold over to avoid them dragging or scratching the surface. Hoping after a couple washes they break down and can be pulled off. I worry if I cut them I just make a sharper edge that could scratch finish.

These are garbage, over the years they have been getting thinner and thinner. There is no GSM rating. I have some from 5 years back, and they are much thicker.

I literally just grab them and rip them off. I haven't had any issues with doing so.

I think they are referring to the poster above where you used to be able to just grab and rip off but now are stitched into it far more than previously. I did the same [grab and rip] but bought my pack a couple years ago.

Same here. The new "heavy duty" tags are harder, and it does frey the edge. It is what it is.
