I see LG WM3900HBA | DLEX3900B electric washer and dryer combo on sale black color for 1499.99 plus taxes. It includes Free Delivery, Basic Installation and Haul Away Included in Most Areas* and worry free costco return policy.

Though its a discontinued model currently sold by costco, its pretty much same as 4000 model that's replaced 3900's.

Samsung 6300 is also on sale (Champagne) for $100 less but Lg looks a better buy for bucks.

It has an app where it notifies you when the load is running or finish.

Also, you can remote start the washer or dryer. Good if you are on electric TOU rate plans
Great deal. This washer was #1 recommended by Consumer Reports last I checked.

Gas model dryer on sale as well, $100 more than electric.

Your laundry area will dictate which type of dryer you should use. If you have a gas hook-up, go with that. Electric needs 220V. Running either a new 220V or a gas line is expensive so go with whichever is in place.

Finally got around to using new dryer (DLEX3900B) and wanting to see if anyone is having issues with the dryer. We put some clothes in the dryer and ran on normal mode (energy mode on). After one cycle, some clothes were still wet and we ran it a second time. On my old LG washer, clothes were usually dry after one cycle. They installed a new rigid vent and the lint trap was clean. I am not able to reach the other end of the exhaust, where to vent goes to the outside of the building. The vent goes out to the roof and I don't have access to the roof in my condo. The building is new construction so I don't think it will be an issue with the building vent. What are peoples experience with drying times? What settings do you recommend?

See my post a page or two back. Tldr: set dryness level to "more dry" and turn off evergy saver.

Not sure what you mean by "wet" but it might be normal depending on how "wet" it is and the dry settings you're using. I don't mind at all if some clothes are a little damp. I'd rather save energy that heat and dry the crap out of them. I usually just run an air dry cycle after a normal dry cycle to finish drying anything that might still be a little too damp.
