Does it come with a battery?
05-23-2021 at 12:30 PM
No you have to purchase one seperately.

Still had 2 bars left after running 9 hours on low. I'm amazed by the low consumption.

40v isn't 18v so yes won't work.
05-21-2021 at 10:17 AM
Not too sure on the 1st question. For your second question, the 40v batteries wouldn't work with this. But it can be plugged via extension cord while you find a deal on a 18v battery with charger.

This doesn't come with a battery. You need to have your batteries and a charger to charge them as you use them with this.

Otherwise you'd have to plug it in with an extension cord.

Yes. Does not come with one.

No. This fan is only good if you're in an area where you don't have an electric plug.

If I buy this and nothing else does it only work with a cord? Or does it have some type of cordless battery that is included? Thanks
It should work with a regular extension cord plugged in (just like the larger version I have). Check the product pictures.

No it does not but there is a "Ryobi Days" sale coming up 5/24. 2 Batteries + one free tool. Refer to the other Ryobi thread.

I think that may actually be "live" now - I was able to purchase the batteries/hedge trimmer combo today.

Just an FYI, if people are looking for fillers to spread out the $7 shipping , the rigid offset oscillating blade is $5 (a little specialized, but anytime I can get semi-decent blades for cheap I usually grab them)

Thanks OP. Perfect timing with the summer and putting the 4 4Ah batteries I pick up last year with the free tool deal to good use. I'm certainly getting good use out of the Air Cannon I also got from DT on both cord and battery.

It's $20, how exactly do people think this would have a battery and charger?

Wow. I went ahead and bought it. Too bad now.
It's not a bad fan or anything but you just can't beat a $20 box fan for ability to move air.

The battery power is where this really shines. It's as powerful as a normal desk fan and you can take it anywhere! Great for camping, for cramped spaces when doing house work, or back yard stuff.

Yeah but at $49 this tool isn't the best option. Might as well order a more expensive tool, return it and keep batteries, and get this fan for $27 with same 3 year warranty. Makes way more sense.

Yeah you can use a regular extension cord with it, it does not come with one.

Home Depot has a great deal, buy 2 batteries + tool and get the tool for free. You can also return the tool, check this thread below for more info.

Thanks, didn't realize there was a store only a few miles from my place. I can save on shipping. 22 bucks is definitely worth a try.
