Value proposition is always the number 1 consideration in any purchasing decision.
Does this actually have value? Is it actually worth it to me or is it a want-need-have dopamine driven compulsory action.

I want more of this type of well written Mass Effect (except the end of ME3). Andromeda's gameplay was great fun for me but the story was hot garbage.
People always say vote with your wallet...so f you want future ME games to be more like the these originals, then show EA you'll support them by buying when they offer it. I bought Jedi Fallen Order at full price because I wanted to show support for a well made single player Star Wars experience and I hope that may make a difference in the games we see from them in the future.

\Value is subjective. whats valuable to me may not be valuable for you and therefore my $60 are not the same as your $60. Like i wouldnt pay more than $10 for this. Its a visual bump with 0 added content. I value this at maybe $15 on a good day. You may value it at $60. Does not mean one of us is wrong

Oh.. well I missed out. Lol
I apologize if you took that as a judgement against you.
What you described is a powerful thought pattern/psychological loop. Used to persuade and manipulate people that is the foundation of many sales tactics and negotiating techniques.
The human psyche is very vulnerable to it and it can be presented/delivered in many forms from bluntly straightforward to very subtle. People in powerful positions actually receive training against it.
Do you desire this? Can you afford it? Why deny yourself the happiness it can provide to you then?
I am vulnerable to it, you are vulnerable, our children are vulnerable to it. It's the perfect mix of emotion and logic to put you in a state to be persuaded and the argument can be presented in many different and subtle ways looping back on itself.
I wasn't judging you, people are being systematically trained to think in those terms as a virtue that's helps decision making. You train the common people to sell themselves with thier way of thinking and the conditions to buy become few and compulsory.
It's a very dis empowering thought process and state of being to be in, that clouds your judgement and it is very effective.
No disrespect to you, the OP was obviously contemplating the products value, leaning towards buying, but trying to justify value, a prime state for the can you?, do you?, why wouldn't you? Or the 10 million other ways it's set up backwards, forwards, and sideways.
It's basically straight manipulation at that point.
It's probably been done to you and you are just repeating it as good sense. It's such a powerful sales technique that it actually changes the way people think and makes them easier to sell in the future.
I didn't mean to insult you personally.
I 100 percent agree with exactly what you are saying. And that exact concept is what is being subverted and manipulated.
And it was in a interesting manner. Original original op is saying in a long winded way that he feels how you feel about the game but is obviously leaning towards buying anyways and trying to justify buying but on his way to realizing the value isn't there.
And the reply is an indirect could you?, Do you, Why wouldn't you, one of the most powerful, archetypal psychological manipulation loops that is directly linked to the human psyche and the foundation of some of the most effective negotiating and sales tactics that exist.
I didn't mean what I said in a toxic way.
The re OP believing what he does is not his fault and it's not really his opinion exactly.
That exact thought process in roughly that order with that approach is conditioned.
Its such a powerful loop that is the perfect ratio of emotional and logical logic, that it can actually change the way a person thinks permanently if they are sold hard with it on a purchase that's big or really matters to them.
And in turn, making them become an easier sell for the rest of thier lives because everytime they make a decision based on that thought pattern it validates that cornerstone moment in thier life. They also push this same thought pattern onto others for the same reason.
This thought pattern also makes the salesman believe they are helping the client and gives them the zeal and passion to hit that next level of charisma and influence and make everything feel real to everyone involved.
The only problem is that it has been really misused repeatedly in all it's various forms.
People of influence and power are literally trained to recognize and avoid this tactic specifically.
Anyways this isn't a very good post and I sound crazy here but I responded and apologized to the re OP feeling like I was specifically judging them and calling them out as an individual and explained myself.

Are you serious? You are the definition of entitled. You're getting three 30+ hour games, that originally retailed for $60 each, plus all of their DLC and fully remastered with HDR and quality of life improvements, but you think the retail $60 is too much for all of that... I will say it again; You're an entitled little tool. Kindly slap yourself.
