I liked the white chocolate raspberry swirl pint.
I had a digital coupon on the Sprouts app for brave robot and I also had an i gotta rebate for buying it from Sprouts.
I decided to upload my Sprouts receipt from a few weeks ago to get the free pint since I didn't easily see a date range that the receipt had to be from…anybody know what the date range is supposed to be?

They don't need a brain. Scientists were able to prove plants like broccoli CAN and DO feel pain! Plants can actually tell the difference between blowing wind, debris and predator insects crawling on them and protectively tightening their cellular structure on the surface only where predator insects are crawling in hopes that the predators can't bite through a thicker and tougher layer of skin!
Just because a "venus flytrap" doesn't have a face, doesn't mean it can't feel pain or a potential meal landing on it's surface!
Just because the plants are responding to a stimulus doesn't mean they're feeling pain. We respond to stimuli all the time without pain being invoked such as when we are being tickled, touched, etc. Furthermore without a nervous system as someone else said, it would be impossible for plants to feel the pain that we and other animals are familiar with.
Obligatory this isn't actually a healthier ice cream.
Contains sunflower oil and still very high concentration of sugar.
It may even be more detrimental due to sunflower oil vs cream.
Coconut oil is the main form of fat in most flavors, and that is what's higher in saturated fat than dairy cream. Sunflower oil has about half as much saturated fat as cream does...
But think of the poor sunflowers that got abused to get their oils... just cause they don't moo, doesn't mean they arnt in pain.
Right. So you don't know if sunflowers feel pain. But we know cows do. Better luck at a witty comment next time

Sounds like you listen to too much of the bro-rogan podcast. None of that demonstrates that plants feel pain. Do you have a good reason to believe that plants feel pain (good reason meaning evidence). You not only said they CAN feel pain, you claim they DO (all while presenting irrelevant information). You cant make the inverse argument about cows, well you can but you would sound foolish.

I guess the more important question is, if he was able to provide scientific evidence that a plant does feel pain, would you stop eating them too?
(and I believe they, at the very least, do signal to other plants warnings to increase their chances of survival and make attempts to avoid being eaten. So they basically scream "don't eat me! Run everyone!" In their language and we uproot them anyways and bring them to the table)

No its not the "more important question", its a separate question (and a bad one at that). Do you know a single human being that eats 0 vegetables? Right. And even if we ignore the huge issues with your argument, what do you think cows eat magical fairy dust? By consuming a cow, or cow products, you're causing pain to an animal that also according to your own argument (not science) caused pain to vegetables as well. Do you know cows can feel pain? Yes of course im confident that you do, they're mammals with a CNS and pain receptors. If you eat animals (like I do), its better to be honest about it rather than a smug person parroting broscience

Of course its the more important question. Because the answer determines if arguing it would matter. If the answer is "No, I'd still eat vegetables of course" then it doesnt matter... since pain to the organism is not a reason to stop consuming it. You could eat beyond meat by the way, no animals harmed in its production, if that matters to you (which you make it seem like it does...).

You know people who live only on beyond meat? Exactly. Bad question that you're trying to spin to cope with your terrible argument that started with a smug comment that you then ineffectively tried to back with unrelated observations. Laughably bad all around. From your first initial post to this now pointless question. First you have to demonstrate that vegetables feel pain. Then we can debate about whether a mammal (who fyi are not on a beyond meat diet) or something missing a nervous system feels pain to the same degree. I don't feel like teaching you an anatomy and physiology lesson but to be frank you've dug yourself in a hole, a self defeating argument at that as I pointed out cows eat vegetables, and now as I pointed out nobody is only eating beyond meat.
Another vegan comment. It's Soo expensive to be vegan. Can't hardly eat anywhere. If vegans wanted to change the world they would make cheap and quality vegan products and restaurants and people would buy it. But otherwise people continue to eat what's affordable. This is slick deals after all but without a coupon a pint is $7 🤣
How come vegan so often imitate animal products like meat and ice cream?
It's a way to enjoy the similar things with non-vegans in my life. If I go to a BBQ, I can eat a burger along with everyone else. It's good cuz most restaurants can offer substitutes without having to change their whole menu around. So it makes life living as a vegan a bit easier.
