I've used Zavvi 2 times now and have been extremely pleased with the price and the the shipping speed from the the UK (less than 2 weeks).

I will say I got this set at the last Amazon Black Friday week madness sales (after staying up over night) and paid $511.31 but that was a once in a lifetime deal.

Current Amazon price is >$1000 so this is a good deal today.

The set is awesome. It took weeks to build (several hours a day). Warning, it is a little delicate and has lots of small details that do not make it good for handling (rough play). Make sure you have somewhere to put it as it is HUGE.

I’ve used them twice. 1 good, 1 bad.

One of my Lego orders arrived damaged and they wanted me to pay to send it back and they would send another. Shipping a 2000 pc set to Europe isn’t cheap. So I kept the jacked box. I won’t buy again.

Also, be sure you want the item when you hit order. There is no cancellation process.

I remember passing on the Amazon deal due to the size. Had to remind myself this time and fight the impulse to click buy. Same reason why I never picked up the Hasbro BMF. Thanks.

I love the King sets. Like someone already said, sometimes you will be missing a piece, but I have never had a problem with that. Usually end up having extra pieces. Subtle differences verses the real thing, but that's what you get when you don't pay for the name. I'll try to attach a pic of the completed build here. Just to get an idea of the size. The table that it is displayed on is a 36" square table
Is that a King or the Lego?

Even adjusting for inflation I couldn't imagine saying "Mom and Dad, can I have $750 for a Lego set?"

And even if I did, they'd say 'Are you kidding? That's 3 mortgage payments!"
Yeah, if your mortgage payments are $250, don't buy this.

Yeah, if your mortgage payments are $250, don't buy this.
I should have clarified, the last time I played with Legos, Star Wars was still playing in the theaters. But the price of a good sized set of Legos then was about the same price as a ticket to Star Wars; $5 .

I get that movie ticket prices have now tripled to $15 but Legos have increased 150 times higher to $750! The price of plastic must have skyrocketed.

(You could buy a lot of house with a $250 monthly mortgage in the late 70s)

Diversify with Lego. Quicker return of investment. But have both.

Is this set due to be retired soon?

I ask because I got one on the Amazon black friday deal a couple years back ($500). Still on the fence if I should open and assemble it or wait for it to retire and see if the price goes ridiculous.
Lmao imagine spending this much on a child's toy and being afraid to play with it

How is this thing msrp at $800? $800?!??! I have a three foot long star trek enterprise from mega blocks that I bought on sale for $125. Mega blocks is proof Lego is screwing you. I would love to sneak a peak at their margins. Cha ching!
There you go: https://www.statista.com/statisti...worldwide/

They're doing pretty good. With that said I'm a fan of Lego and go with the general consensus that if a Lego is at less than 10cents a piece (6-7 is ideal) then it's fine.

FYI. This is import version. Not US retail if that matters to you. You can tell by the box missing the piece count
We really need need multiple versions of this? Is there any other differences?
