In case some people don't know, Chromebook 2 is unfortunately quite a downgrade from the first Chromebook spec-wise.

Apparently, the only thing that's better on this model is battery life, since the battery life on the OG Galaxy Chromebook is terrible.

Also, FYI, this one has no built in silo for a stylus and does not ship with one. You'd have to buy it separately.

How is the battery life.
I thought of buying Chromebook 1, but that's totally overcooked and overkilled don't need 4K screen.
The main essence of Chromebook is the battery life and as per the reviews the battery life of Chromebook 1 sucks big time because of 4K screen.
If I get the 6-7 hours battery from this one, I will get it. Please let me know.

I definitely don't need a new device right now, but its awesome that OLED is finally getting to Laptops now. An OLED screen under $400 is even better too if the discount works for you.

This...current laptop is a Thinkpad X1 Extreme w/ an i7 6 core and 64GB of ram. I already knew the battery life wasn't super great but for sporadic usage throughout the day, meaning opening/closing going in and out of sleep mode, it's crazy how slow that spec of a system can be. Throw in the constant windows updates which makes it worse. My Acer Spin 713 gets much more usage while the Thinkpad is regulated to stuff you have to have Windows for, and was well worth the $520.
