Get your COVID-19 vaccine for free in subway and train stations - $0

+9 Deal Score
10,408 Views
If you get your vaccine at a subway station, you'll get a free 7-day Unlimited MetroCard. This MetroCard doesn't activate until you swipe the first time, so you can save it and use it later if you'd like.

If you get your vaccine at a Long Island Rail Road or Metro-North Railroad station, you'll get two one-way Commuter Rail Tickets.

If you get your vaccine at Penn Station or Grand Central, you can get either a free 7-day Unlimited MetroCard or two one-way Commuter Rail Tickets.

If you do it in the right train station, you can get shot twice in one day.

I can't wait to hear one valid reason why it would be medically unsafe to get a vaccination at this site.

Hospitals also have public toilets. Not sure what your point is.

am I the only one who's worried that people will be getting 3, 4 or more doses in order to get $50 gift cards or free Metro Cards?

when I got my 2 doses, they only asked me to fill out the form. I could have put down anything and they would still have give me the vaccine shots. All I got was a lousy $5 coupon.(good for $10 purchase at the grocery store) I asked the pharmacist why she didn't have to check my ID or verify who I was... she said that some law prevented her from doing that...

Obviously it's very bad to get more than 2 doses.... but they way they system is set up now, what's to prevent desperate people strapped for cash from getting additional shots for money??? Like I said, this is a bad science experiment waiting to go bad. Frown Frown Frown

Extra doses most likely wouldn't cause any problems other than sore arms.

In my state (which is Florida, for chrissakes) you have to show ID, and there's a registry of who's gotten which vaccines (not just Covid, my doc was able to look up all my recent shots).

P.S. I'm not aware of any evidence that it's bad to get more than 2 doses, other than the fraud aspect.

How is it not a hot deal to get the pass for something people have been standing in line to do for free?

Edit: Confused this with the California offer, but still a hot deal.

Not sure what to say to this.

All I know is if a person is willing to hurt their health to get an extra $20 a few extra times, chances are these same people will steal as well.

This is why I always try to donate to a good cause where it's distributed to the right places

my pharmacist(where I got both doses) said that our state has rules NOT to ask or even verify IDS.... because they want everybody to get vaccinated... including undocumented residents who may not show up if they have to present IDs to get COVID-19 vaccines. I kind of see the logic in that.... but not sure if that may create more problems down the road for people who need money. (an economic tsunami is definitely coming for millions of poorer Americans)
