You are paying for an over priced brand that hasn't innovated for a while, their newer platform should be your focus; the lxt is going to be phased out

Makita is mediocre in terms of power and variety. But they are reliable. It's like Toyota vs dodge(dewalt/Milwaukee). They have brushless tools just like any other. They have no idea what they are taking about they are phasing 18v out. 36v is too expensive and 18v can meet most need anyway
Personally, I'd buy yellow, orange, or red before I buy another green.
