Thanks for the info! I also have a small collection of watches. During some time in the past, I was a bit crazy on collecting watches, even buying watches from Japan. Then lost the interest. Most of them are collecting dust now.
Titanium: Very light
Solar-driven: No need for battery or charge
Atomic time keeping/perpetual calendar: No need for manual adjustment
Numerals for hours: Easy to know what time it is and not get dizzy to see a fancy screen.
Maybe it is just me The watch in this deal looks too fancy too me.
I love the watch. Looks very similar to my Casio Waveceptor field watch module #4756 - WVQ-140A, which I've had for years and absolutely love it. It is a workhorse and daily driver for me. Although not as nice as yours. I love titanium and have a citizen and several bertucci titanium watches

Just searched and found out what watch WVQ-140A is. Found this model and love it. Thanks for sharing!
Could be because owners don't want to be in a position of charging their watch once or twice a day. If you take a trip you don't have to worry about packing a charging cord. Maybe some owners want a Watch that have greater water proofing for water activities. Mechanical Watches are made of various metals, carbon fiber, plastics and crystals for the screen. You don't get that with with smart watches. Glass, aluminum and stainless steel if you're lucky. I don't need useful most of the time from a watch when I already carry my phone with me. I have a vast collection of mechanical Watches and a couple of smart Watches as well. They both have their appeal. Pick your poison charge a smart watch daily or replace battery every couple of years unless it's solar and then in that case just wear it and enjoy. I understand both arguments
Thanks for the details, its a beautiful watch, I am planning to get garmin fenix 7 as soon as it comes out (default with solar charging lens) but I agree garmin watches doesn't go well as dress watch. tempted to pull the plug
I lost a Breitling for 8 years once. It was in my wife's bathrobe pocket that she didn't wear anymore but put away one Spring. She went to donate it when we moved and it rolled out of the pocket.
You know, I never thought about that but now I'm wondering...I had even sold the box and papers on eBay for $150 because I was sick every time I looked at it.
For those on the fence...Remember the "Promaster Professional Diver 200 Meters"...it went as low as $100 (and even $90) I think in Oct 2019...I snapped up 2 (myself and my brother)...best watches, wear with NATO strap, my brother likes the rubber band that it originally came with.
It is my go-to everyday watch when working. I can carousel my watches with smartwatches and dress ones, but the Promaster is so well built and professional looking that it delivers as a daily driver.
