Notebookcheck.net has just published the review of this exact same model and they were impressed. This has a very good quality and bright display but the star of the show is the Ryzen 7 5700U which has been pushed to its limits by HP on this.
This Ryzen 7 5700U has been pushed so far due to bigger chassis and upgraded dual fan design and bigger heat pipe, it has actually beaten the conservative implementation of Ryzen 7 5800U in Zenbook 13 UM325 in Multi-threaded CineBench R23 and R20.

Amused by how many people think a 4K screen has any value for editing 4K sources. There isn't a single editing program on the market that previews your timeline in full 4K at native resolution -- and why would you, leaving no room for actual editing tools? You OUTPUT to 4K eventually, but why is it any value to WATCH in 4K when you know your content is...drum roll...4K. Dumb.

No, it will never be a contender for 4K video editing even if it has a 4K Display. You need a decent dedicated graphics card for that.

You should always use the AMD Driver directly from AMD. Most of the manufacturers don't update their driver pages as soon as a new driver comes out from AMD, Intel or Nvidia.

Went legit on office too as it was on sale as well.

Only minor issue is possibly the backlight bleeding, but I normally don't stare at a black screen. Was trying for a bit cheaper, but none had all the specs and this one has more horsepower (and is touch screen).

I tried googling it and basically arrived at "if its uses MPP (Microsoft Pen Protocol) get the Raphael 520, if it uses Wacom AES (Active ElectroStatic) then use HP Rechargeable Active Pen"

The problem is- it doesn't say anywhere it supports either. Sales agent said to get a passive pen.. thoughts?

sounds like its a leap of faith, worse case is buy one and if its not working the way you want return it, just didnt wanna pay full price, i was on the hp site and they have 4 options 1 was sold out

Completely ignorant. The leading app, Premiere, throttles horsepower transparently without transcoding, and 4K footage churns just fine on old laptops especially assuming you work off SSDs (naturally).

Guys, MPP 2.0 is nothing but Microsoft's rebranding of N-trig technology. Any Surface device's pen will work on this but Wacom AES based one won't work.

Hey guys real quick...The specs say full size for keyboard but it doesn't have the number keys. This keybed design seems new to me with the speakers on the left and right as opposed to under the screen.

Is this a deal breaker? Every full size keyboard I've seen has a number key area on the right. Thx in advance.
