Just got around to trying out a pair of these today that I got from a previous. The temperature and humidity are showing over 5 degrees in temp and 5% difference in humidity while sitting right next to each other. Don't give me much confidence in their accuracy.
These are 2.05" x 2.05" and take a CR2450 button battery. I think I'd prefer the 2.28"x2.44" AAA version. $10 each.

Similar Xiaomi ones can be had for ~$16 for 4 pack. When staff post these 'deals' they magically get a bunch of TUs and ends up on FP in no time.

I can't find the 4 pack deal anymore, but a quick search shows this 6 pack for $27: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124589066080

I believe it's $27 each and not for a 6 pack.

Battery on these lasted around 5 months. The app is alright, will sync a week or more of data, but you've gotta manually open and connect to each one.

No the Xiaomi sensors really are ~$5 each. I bought mine on Aliexpress, I got 3 for $12 + $2 shipping. Better selection than ebay but you have to wait for the slow boat from China.

Supposed to be really easy to update firmware to play really nicely with home automation software.

Do you have a link for this? I can't seem to find anything that says these sensors can connect to ST or HA. I don't want to go through Xiaomi's app.

AFAIK they don't "connect" to HA, they just chirp out their current temperature every few minutes and your bluetooth dongle listens for this and records it.

I did the same test with mine and they settle within the tolerances provided. It can take a while for them to adjust.

I have the mi version, the app sucks. Got from AliExpress, 2 for $8. These are better, but more expensive.

Get the AAA battery versions, they get on sale for the same price periodically. Saves you a lot of money on batteries. I really like these sensors, and have placed them in many places around the house and out (under a cover). I have 6, will add more.

They only have the 24 hr format on the app. Lol small complaint but.. I'm not military so I like 12hr format instead
