One year I put them up before going on vacation - in early November, and kept them on yard until 2nd week of Jan - no issues. I'm in CNJ - so ymmv depending on your grass and climate.

It's getting there, only I can tell where they were now. I'm putting them up in the back yard next year for my own enjoyment.

Not sure what you did !! We do it every year (thanksgivings to new years), never had any problem.
I'm not sure either, but apparently tttf doesn't like no sun for weeks at a time when it was still green all winter. 6a/b. Unusually warm winter and lawn never went dormant
