I stumbled on that while browsing Zenni for no reason at all. I ordered on pair of real glasses(1.74 index) and 4 other pairs of glasses for trying on.(meaning with the free prescription lenses) They are supposed to be delivered today, but my mailman has tons of Amazon packages to deliver these days. Frown

Next time I see coupons on Zenni, I'll be sure to post about it here ASAP. Smilie

Sign up for their email promos and you'll get all the codes before they're posted.

This code seems to be working for 20% off Blockz lenses.

I would not recommend Zenni Optical. They do not offer full refunds if you don't like the glasses or they don't fit. If I remember correctly they either offer a 50% refund or full store credit. The full store credit can only be used once, meaning if you use the store credit to buy another pair of glasses and those don't fit either you cannot return it for store credit again. You will be given the 50% refund. That starts to add up if you have bad luck finding the right glasses.

Also don't buy their sunglass clip-ons cause they don't flip up or down they sit on the glasses which is lame. If you suddenly drive into a dark area like an underground parking lot you'll have trouble seeing and you'll be fumbling to take them off.

Firmoo and EyeBuyDirect offer full refunds on every purchase last time I checked.

I would have to agree. I have ordered from goggles4u and eyebuydirect several times before without any issues. I decided to give zenni a shot a few weeks ago and ended up with glasses that were ridiculously small. I guess they measure their frames differently from everyone else or something since everywhere else I ordered from was correct. I contacted customer support and sent images proving the frames were too small and they sent me a link on how to measure frames [zennioptical.com] which is full of people complaining about their poor customer service. I even measured the frames with digital calipers.

I was convinced that zenni was great by various social media including this site but they do not stand by their product. If you do order from them you should consider that you could be paying $10 to NOT buy glasses if anything is wrong. I'll update if anything changes with my experience as I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

Thanks for sharing these callouts. Though I suppose the last resort is always to do a credit card chargeback

Check the reviews before you buy any glasses on Zenni. Their sizes are misleading at best. I actually measured my frames and they were smaller than described. This is apparently a very common trend on many of their frames given the reviews.

I am thinking of just returning my glasses and taking the 50% refund as it seems most of their frames are garbage. Go with eyebuydirect with an actual warranty.

How would you be fumbling any less with flip ups? And with flip-ups, you have to go around looking like you just escaped an 80's teen sitcom when you're inside.

I love this clip-on set [zennioptical.com] because they click flat to the face, instead of on top of the temples. Easy on, easy off, and they don't catch on your pockets. Extra clip-ons are only $6 when you order the frames, so you can get a few to stick in your cars or coats so you don't have to worry about forgetting them and needing them when you're out. The clip-ons are flexible and durable - I haven't broken any in the four years I've had my current sets, and I treat them like crap, stick them in my back pocket and sit on them, stick them in my front pocket with my keys, all the time. I'm in this thread because I'm buying another set today. They're also the only blue/green clip-ons I've found that aren't $200+ from the hipster optician.

Cool

They do run a bit wide, though, so not for tiny heads.

My only problem with Zenni is that with my new Rx I need progressives, and apparently they can't do prism with progressives. So, I have to order non-Rx lenses from Zenni and have Costco do the real lenses.

I thought this was obvious but with flip ups you simply flip up the clip-ons and your glasses are unshaded. With Zenni's clip-ons they have these rubber or silicone hook things on the nose area that you attach to the top of the frame. If you drive into a dark area and you need to see quickly you'd have to pull them off entirely from the frame which isn't as fast or easy as flip ups.

Yes the magnetic ones are nice but they're also a lot more expensive. If you decide to remove them then you gotta hold them in your hand if you don't have shirt pockets, same with Zenni's cheapo clip-ons. I really don't care how I look to other people if I use flip ups. I care about functionality and Zenni's cheap clip-ons (or frames) aren't worth it in my opinion.

If they're shipping from China they're all about the same -- 2 weeks give or take a few days.
