Bought one 10 months ago, battery just died. Dyson went straight by the book and told me to buy a new battery at $130. I didn't buy the Walmart extended warranty but bought it with my Costco Citi credit card so going through them to see if they'll cover the fix. So buyer beware. I have 2 other refurb corded vacuums that work just fine, the battery is the thing here that is unpredictable.

That having been said, this is the best deal you'll find on this vacuum refurbished. You want the fluffy head if you have any sort of hard surface flooring, and that only comes with the absolute package

Has anybody gotten shipping confirmation? I ordered before there was even a single comment on this thanks to a very low-criteria Dyson alert, and even though the website says "arrives 6/11" when ordering, it's now 6/10 and the status is still "preparing order".

I just got a shipping confirmation email about 5 minutes ago, tracking number from UPS doesn't have an estimated delivery date yet though.

Mine just showed up as well finally. Figures it'd come through after I post about not getting one. Same thing here, so far it just says that a shipment has been created and to "check tomorrow" for an estimated delivery date. But at least now I'm not worried anymore that Walmart might cancel it.

Mine came with scratches and hair inside the bucket and filter appears to have a dent. Did anyone have similar experience? It seems like they didn't do good job cleaning as one would expect as part of refurbishing procedure. Now should I return to Walmart or use the dyson's six months warranty? Any recommendations?

Mine wouldn't connect properly to the attachments and was also not as "new looking" as I expected. The box said "B Grade" refurb. Dyson is replacing it as it's faulty.

As an update, I just heard back from the Costco Citi extended warranty folks.

As a BIG FYI to everyone, even though it's not stated ANYWHERE in their fine print, refurbished items ARE NOT covered. They considered it "used/pre-owned," even though it's been renewed by the manufacturer. No mention of refurbished anywhere in their documents.

Amex, however, specifically states that factory refurbished items are covered. Live and learn. Amazon generic batteries are ~$50, so going that route.

Received mine, I saw no signs of prior use. There was a lot of "cardboard dust" on the outside of the unit. My box was labeled Grade B.

Anyone know what happens if you file a warranty claims with Walmart? Do they give you a replacement refurb or a brand new unit?

What if there isn't any refurb left to replace? full refund? including the 3-year warranty?
